Saturday night I was travelling from Century City back home and the route I take is the M5 South. I was in the centre lane and passed a LARGE log perfectly centrered in the far left lane. A few metres from the log was an individual sitting crouched in the bushes. (Kensington opp. Ysterplaat) I realised what I've just seen and called the highway patrol which confirmed they would respond immediately to this threat. Absolutely right. As Australia have proved at times in this series. They’ve ground it out when required, been patient when required - and then counter attacked brutally. They’ve played the situation. England have failed - or more likely refused - to do that.

The one saving grace from this Ashes embarrassment is that this will be end of McCullum and the myth of Bazball, which can only be a good thing.

I’m sorry, but Archer is so bloody overrated. Averages over 30 in the few tests he’s played, gets incredibly favourably conditions in Aus, and can’t even bowl the tail out. Talk about flattering to deceive.
