Paul Rivoche, Just for some context, I drew 12 consecutive monthly issues of Metal Men with covers, plus one-shots, multiple 6-issue arcs (Mystery in Space, Superman/Batman), and three OGNs (Superman: Earth One vol. 1–2 and Shadow Walk). You know… actual consistent, professional work. But please, go ahead and keep grasping at straws to defend your aggressively mediocre style and personality. I get it, I mean what else can you do at this point in your life? The reality is I’ve drawn monthly comics before, done it better, and somehow managed to be an interesting person at the same time. Wild concept, I know. Anyway, congrats on having the charisma of a dead AA battery. Truly inspiring stuff.

@JonMalin I wonder if Dan’s surgery didn’t play a part. Medication and anesthesia messes people up, shifts personalities, especially when getting older (and perhaps taking other things at the same time). Seen it happen.

Dan and Paul were treated well here. Everyone worked exceptionally hard on Dan’s behalf. He fit in well and was well liked. He made good money here. He largely disappeared. We reassured fans to have confidence in Dan, for years, with no reason not to. That wasn’t enough for Dan. He took petty grievances from himself and others, and rolled them into rage towards the people that helped him, so he could disassociate, IMHO. We never really got to know Paul. He drew backgrounds in cartoons. He was entitled and angry under the surface. He hid it well from my POV. Now, angry. That’s all I really know about the guy. CG moves on.
