Pleased to share with you the @ISUOG guideline on the 3rd trimester USS we published in UOG Jan issue. In this guideline we shared recommendations on various aspects, inc fetal anatomy, placenta & amniotic fluid volume, etc. I hope that you find it useful to your practice.

📢 STRIKE DATES ANNOUNCEMENT📢 Junior doctors in England to take further #PayRestoration industrial action.
The first strike action will take place from 7am on 20 December to 7am on 23 December. The second will take place from 7am on 3 January until 7am on 9 January.

New RCT: extra 30 min of skin-to-skin (90 vs 60 min) in healthy newborns led to 44% increase (‼️) in exclusive BF at ~2-3 days, with effects maintained until 14 weeks.
Those are big gains from a 30 min cuddle session!

@Telegraph The trans women I have met identify themselves as women she/her. It really shouldn’t become too complicated so we lose language and offend a majority. Mothers are mothers irrespective of sexuality/ birth sex.

Some Consultants will strike tomorrow and Friday in the @NHSEngland. I will not. I am coming in to work a normal weekday shift both days. I have been a consultant for 9 years.
I do no private work and can live on my pay which is over 3 times the average UK salary.

BREAKING NEWS: A mother who was sentenced to 28 months for illegally ending their pregnancy is to be released from prison.
We echo the judges’ statements that this is a case that calls for compassion, not punishment, and are delighted with this decision.
