Some water pollution rules will reportedly be scrapped by the govt in an attempt to boost house building. Some developers say regulations, which are designed to protect waterways and wildlife, are being applied so strictly that homes cannot be built in large parts of England.

Might as well say it and get shouted at by another bunch on the subject, but seems to me the heights of optimism that the various housing crises can be solved by a system dependent on sufficient building by developers. Especially given 30 years of experience of this.
