To all the people in my mentions and DMs telling me I look old ... I am! That's not an insult! That's like telling me I'm short. I'm just fine looking the age that I am. Why shouldn't I be? (I'm fine being short too.)

In the case of the black community, it goes like this:
They watch their neighborhood crumble around them. They watch crime rates go up and won’t do anything about it because “no snitching.” They watch their schools become subpar and won’t do anything because the teachers unions smile at them. They watch businesses leave because of shoplifting, but won’t elect tough on crime candidates for DA.
Then landlords buy the lots for cheap, build on it, and get people with money to move in, thus pricing out the residents who used to live there. The old residents complain, but leave out the part where they *could have actually saved their own neighborhoods!*
The only recourse for the old residents is “affordable housing.” You’re eating scraps off the table.
Wash, rinse, repeat. You contributed to your own demise.
