JB Pritzker bragged about Illinois population growth at the City Club of Chicago this afternoon, touting his welcoming ordinance while claiming the growth has nothing to do with illegal immigration.
Chicago absorbed over 51,000 illegals since 2022. That surge tripled the unhoused population and drove 93% of the 14,590 jump in sheltered homelessness between 2022 and 2024.
Nationally, the foreign-born population accounts for two-thirds of all rental demand growth per HUD data amid a 4.7M unit housing shortage.
Pritzker can brag about Illinois’ population ‘boom’ all he wants. The growth he’s celebrating is the illegal immigration his sanctuary-state policies and Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance keep attracting.
While real Illinois families keep fleeing high taxes and crime, his welcome mat just masks the exodus.

Alexander Kazanowski was beaten & left to die while walking home after a night out. I was reading an article written by @mack_liederman from @BlockClubCHI & I was sort of taken back by how it was written, I mean even for a leftist propaganda rag this was surprising. Mack described how Kazanowski was killed then went on to bring up things about his past that are irrelevant to the murder. He was arrested on a domestic battery case in 2023 & was supposed to appear in court on June 1st. What this has to do with the murder is beyond me but if you read on you’ll understand why it’s incredibly important to Mack to mention it. Kazanowski seemed to be a conservative or at least he wasn’t a far-left lunatic. He owned a store in Rogers Park & when the leftist lunatics found out they protested in front of his store. He shared a meme that said “In the Bible, demons refer to themselves as they/them/we/us” & the demons conveniently showed up. This is not exactly how Mack wrote other articles about ppl who were senselessly murdered in Chicago.

Governor J.B. Pritzker led an army of obstructionists to protect illegal criminals from deportation, and his decisions led to preventable tragedies. The deaths of Katie Abraham, Chloe Polzin, Gregori Arias, Megan Bos, and Sheridan Gorman are his fault. They were citizens who lost their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness because of Pritzker's ideology.

Meanwhile in Congress, Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) is having a mental meltdown over raw milk during her questioning of HHS Secretary Kennedy Jr.:
“If I were the head of HHS, I would by God say don’t take raw milk! It is dangerous to your health and if you can’t say that well maybe there are some other conclusions that can be drawn!”

This is senseless and heartbreaking. I'm praying for this young boy's family. Every death is tragic, but when a young person is hunted in the street, it hits differently. My heart aches for his parents, family, and friends.

Eric "EK" Billups (16) a Hyde Park Academy student was executed at a bus stop on 63rd & Stony on April 15, 2026, just minutes after school let out. He and his girlfriend were walking to the bus when a known teen offender from the same school approached, argued over a vape (“posh”), pulled a gun, and opened fire. As of early 2026, Illinois is considering House Bill 4459 (Local Government Open Burn Permit Act), which would allow local governments to require a permit and a fee of up to $5 for backyard fire pits and recreational fires. This is not yet a finalized state-wide mandate. WTF! 🙄

My friend of 5 years got married last weekend.
