Circuit Judge Todd Derrick gave Alphonzo Sanders 891 years in prison. Same judge gave another serial child molester 615 in 2019, which was the previous record.

14-year-old girl, 5’7” 180 lbs, booked in Lee County, FL for battery on a person 65 years of age or older. She beat the shit out of a 65-year-old. Case swept under the rug. One year later (nearly to the day), March 2025, arrested again for assault and battery. Case again swept under the rug. It’s time to have the conversation and adjust laws about violent juvenile records. These are the juveniles that go on to murder. We must also recognize some of these “kids” aren’t the kids of times past, by temperament or size.
