This describes me to a degree. I would never discount human ingenuity and artistic expression, but I am emotionally separated from an investment in our species outcome. The history of civilization reads like a flat circle. No amount of time passage alters our core dysfunction. There are no saviors. We climb and fall, climb and fall. All that changes are the technologies and contemporary themes. Rather than lose sleep over what might happen, I prefer to be like an amused observer keeping a measured distance from the mob. I focus on those whom I know and love, doing what I can to care of them, keep them safe, and support their successes. Anything outside that is a soundtrack to a film I feel like I've seen a thousand times before and can do nothing about.

@GrantCardone Thus is temporary. The hurdles to become a plumber are not great. In a few years, there would be tons of plumbers. Prices will calm down. And in 10 years the plumber-robots would render them obsolete too. The survivors in the long run are the engineers making these machines work

Imagine when the Wall Street quant, who never accomplished much of anything except for his self assigned CEO positions at a couple of failed startups and maybe co-authored a couple of books that no one bought, who stumbled onto an investment that made him a “little” money can’t afford his own plumber, electrician or the roofer to fix his little house on the hill. 😂 Poetic Justice.

Unemployment is at 3.2%, inflation is under 2%, and the Tel Aviv stock exchange is up 20% since January. The shekel gained 7% against the dollar during the war.

Important context on fertility rates: in the history of the US, it is the mid-20th century baby boom that stands out as an abberation, not the present day. Fertility rates were falling as far back as we have data, and almost dipped below 2.0 in the 1930s
