Happy Memorial Day! Today, we would like to honor all those who have passed while serving our nation. MONSE proudly remembers all who have given their lives in the name of freedom.

Come out for free food, Safe Streets swag, community resources, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities as we join together to promote peace, healing, and public safety. Meet us by the basketball courts and help us launch a safe summer season.

Safe Summer is back! Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12PM–5PM for the 6th Annual Safe Streets Safe Summer Kickoff at Druid Hill Park.

Through outreach, mediation, and conflict de-escalation, we remain committed to interrupting violence, supporting our communities, and building a safer Baltimore for all.

Yesterday, the Safe Streets Franklin Square site joined residents and community partners in a shooting response, standing together to send a clear message that shootings and homicides are not normal and will not be accepted in our neighborhoods.

Yesterday, we held our Stronger Together Resource Fair at Towanda Rec in Park Heights. We brought out our partners to strengthen community partnerships and provide direct supports to the neighborhood.

This coming Monday, May 18, 2026, we’ll be holding our 2nd Stronger Together: Building Bonds & Strengthening Communities Resource Fair! Join us at Towanda Rec from 4-7pm for resources designed to support our neighbors and enhance public safety. We hope to see you there!

Since opening in 2025 this space has become a valuable hub for resources and community empowerment. It’s also the new home of our Safe Streets Franklin Square site. Make sure to check it out at 5 N. Calhoun Street!

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Director Mavronis joined @lifebridgehealth, @westbaltren, and so many community leaders and partners for the One-Year Anniversary Celebration for the Factory in Franklin Square.

Collaboration and partnership are at the heart of the historic homicide and nonfatal shooting reductions we are seeing as a city. This isn’t a coincidence. It is all of Baltimore working together to address our most deep-rooted issue from every angle.

Through this partnership with @BaltimorePolice, @yapinc, @roca_inc, prosecutors, and the community, we are showing what is possible when you balance real accountability for those driving violence in our communities with opportunity for positive change.

We’ve seen a nearly 60% drop in homicides and shootings combined over the past five years. Baltimore’s Group Violence Reduction Strategy (GVRS) is helping drive these reductions by intervening on those at the very highest risk of being shot or shooting someone else.

Baltimore has seen progress driving down shootings and homicides. The 133 homicides and 311 non-fatal shootings we saw in 2025 were both historic lows.

The 3rd Annual Safe Streets Retreat focused on strengthening life skills, connecting teams to resources, and acknowledging the contributions of frontline staff in helping achieve historic reductions in homicides and nonfatal shootings across Baltimore. #SafeStreetsBaltimore
