Here's the Haiti 🇭🇹 squad for the #FIFAWorldCup! They are in Group C with 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇧🇷🇲🇦 and will face 🇳🇿🇵🇪 in warm-up friendlies. There are some surprises! 🆕 Lenny Joseph (Ferencváros 🇭🇺) 🆕 Dominique Simon (Tatran Presov 🇸🇰) We've been clamoring for Joseph for years now - so excited. Simon is a solid addition in the middle. No Dany Jean is interesting. He's been playing really well for club but seems to have fallen out of favor. Hasn't been called in since the Gold Cup last summer. Prunier and Attys both left off also... and not surprised Fafa Picault isn't included. They have their work cut out for them in this group. Dangerous going forward and improved in the back of late, perhaps they can surprise.

Here we go again with the “what if our best athletes played soccer” theory” 🤣😭🤣 The entire Spanish 🇪🇸 national team would not be considered “great athletes” by football 🏈 player standards. We don’t have a soccer athlete problem we have a soccer culture problem.
The Late Run@TheLateRunShow

Is American football to blame for the USMNT not unlocking its full potential? 🤔 Gronk thinks if the roles were reversed and our best athletes played soccer instead at a young age, we’d be one of the top 3 nations 🇺🇸

Is that a #wwfc scarf I spy @FooDGrohl?! When are you & @foofighters coming to a game at Molineux? I’m sure Wolves’ president @RobertPlant will sort you out some decent seats…or come sit with me in the South Bank. Ironic, as this season has been Everlong… #wolvesaywe 🐺🟠⚫️

Can't help think just loaning players to @FAWNL clubs seems a much easier and cheaper option than going to the hassle of disturbing the football pyramid. Especially when Tier 3 clubs earned those spots on merit, not parachuted in.
Tom Garry@TomJGarry

Man City would like their academy team to join Tier3. "We'd definitely be open to it," MCFC's Charlotte O'Neill says. "We're very mindful of the impact that has on the #FAWNL and respectful of various positions but, would I love to be able to? Absolutely." theguardian.com/football/2026/…

Just listened to the fans forum. Lots said with not much being said. Lots of talk about: reset/belief/long term plans. But with very little clarity or confidence. Big job on for everyone and im unclear how well the 3 are working together in one joined up football strategy

Fair play to the @Wolves hierarchy for fronting up to straight-talking/fed up/angry supporters at a @sportbbcwm forum last night (link below just published). It's been an abysmal season (or a few) for the paying/travelling fans who asked some very forthright questions.

* New exec chairman Nathan Shi sounds like a real upgrade on his predecessor/namesake Jeff in terms of personality, understanding of the job and ability to communicate. The fact he clearly has a sense of humour will stand him in good stead in those parts.

* Technical director Matt Jackson spoke well on the club's mistakes and what needs to be done going forward. Didn’t sugar coat errors made by the club - acknowledged them (explained some) and vowed to rectify them. Plenty of humility on display while explaining his own credentials (he captained Wigan to promotion to the PL, worked his way up after playing career, was president of Grasshoppers in Switzerland). Said the club had previously lacked alignment but now the ownership, coach and recruitment dept are working closely together which is “vital”. * Manager Rob Edwards sounded emotional and bruised by his experience (Wolves fans have been giving him stick of late for both performances and results). He reiterated his passion for the club, the job: “I’d have come here even if they were in non-league”, he defended himself at times. Explained where it went wrong at Luton and why double-relegation won’t happen here. Spoke of his steadfast determination to get it right next season, which is the job he was brought in to do. Says this group of players are simply are not good enough but are mostly maxing out on effort. The season clearly cannot end quickly enough for him as he wants most of these players to go and is desperate to bring in the new recruits they've already earmarked/lined up. Wants to be judged on managing players recruited who actually want to be at the club and are the right profile for securing promotion. He wants the team to be an attacking force, scoring plenty of goals, etc.
Overall takeaways: “We've made some bad mistakes. We've learned from them. We're sorry for what the supporters have had to put up with. Now judge us on next season when we put those learnings into practice. We’re targeting automatic promotion next season, after recruiting leaders and talented players with the right mentality - and we really need your support.”

Many fans still sceptical about words/action so they agreed to conduct another forum later in the year when they’ll review how their plans have played out. Side note: Shi sounded positive about bringing back the Liquidator motivational pre-match anthem. Seems a no-brainer. Fans/kids will hear that bad language throughout the game regardless. At least generate a cauldron before kick-off for the players and fans to set the fiery tempo for the match and season ahead 🔥 🏟️. They’ll need everyone pulling in the same direction for the first time since Fosun/Nuno won Championship promotion (2018) and reached the Europa League QFs in 2020.
