I’d honestly love to see the Jazz get the #1 pick, the Kings get the #2, Nets get #3, and the Bulls get #4. That seems like the most ethical outcome.

The amount of genuine slander Cooper is receiving from the media because of this ROTY award is so disheartening. He had the absolute highest of expectations coming into the draft and he delivered 10-fold. He is having a rookie season as good as LeBron, Luka, and Wemby yet the way the media is talking it sounds like everything is handed to him. This team is fundamentally flawed and serves only to make his job harder but the youngest dude in the league shows up with 100% every night. Totally unjust and gross.

The 2024 ROY Race: Chet Holmgren averaged 17/8/2 and 2 blocks. Started all 82 games. OKC went from a 10 seed to #1 in the West. Wemby went 21/10/4 & 3 blocks in 11 less games for a 22-win Spurs team. Wemby won all 99 first-place votes.

The funniest lie the Dallas fans keep regurgitating is that Kon was drafted to some sort of amazing situation. They won 19 games last season. DAL won 39 games and the NBA community collectively called the draft rigged because the Mavs lucked into Flagg.

Cooper played out of position with no stars while being the #1 option w/ higher highs

Spacing is important and Kon is more consistent, but you need someone to be the ball handler and it’s harder to maintain performance when your volume increases. There’s a lot of context that databallr doesn’t provide with Coop this year
