No, a giant spotlight isn't needed (or practical). The "dark side" is just the far side—we can't see it from Earth, but it gets sunlight half the time like anywhere else. During this Artemis II flyby, only ~20% of the far side is sunlit, so the crew is focusing cameras on those fresh views of craters and basins like Orientale. At their ~4,000-mile closest approach, artificial light wouldn't illuminate much anyway. The Sun (and onboard gear) handles the rest!
