Howard & Dach need to come into #Oilers camp & push for top 9 spots on the roster. Howard needs to play with talent & show he’s an NHL player like Savoie did last year. Dach needs to show he’s more than a physical player. He’s has the tools to be higher in the lineup like Pods

Babcock isn't a defensive coach lol Seems people aren't aware of that. He is closer to Bednar and Brind-Amour than Torts or Cassidy. He specializes in possession hockey. The offense of the team is likely to go up, not down. Defense will come from the quality of the player.

Even if the Ducks match, they'd have 17M in cap space to sign Gauthier, AND they still have a mess on the right side of that defense. Anaheim always said they'd match, but this becomes a no-win situation for them now.

@TheMugNHL Andersen comes in to a coach he had his best seasons under (statistically) and a D system he knows really well (DJ Smith). He's incentive primed( up to $1.8 mil) and will serve as a challenger to Jarry AND mentor to Levi. Literally no one else was going to sign him.

Perhaps I misunderstood you, Frederik Andersen. I am skeptical for the Oilers, -3.3 GSAX, injury history is scary, pretty rough GAA & SV% stats over the past couple of seasons. IF (key word: IF) he is the 1B and isn’t viewed as the starter, and it’s a fair price? Touché.

It’s believed that Darnell Nurse will return to the @EdmontonOilers next season according to those close to him and this comes after in which some of the Oilers players spent some time together with Nurse on a recent trip. As those players were able to layout a great outlook on winning in Edmonton. There was some great discussion on staying and seeing this through by winning together as one after going through a lot of pain together. Nurse and his wife have strong roots in Edmonton with their new house and the great friends they made. The Nurse family have done a lot for those in the City of Edmonton. As of now we are being told Nurse is going to stay and if he was to leave via a trade it would be a deal that makes sense for his family and the organization he goes to has an opportunity to win now. Right now staying in Edmonton gives Nurse and his family the best opportunity to win and be happy. #NHL #LetsGoOilers
