Some of these "streamers" don’t even have a digital footprint, while others with one, who are verified on bigger platforms and have been grinding for a year, can’t get verified. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Over the past two years, our verification requirements have become significantly stricter. Initially, the process was more lenient, which means that there are now a number of verified accounts that no longer meet the current standards. While it's important to honour the previous guidelines and allow some accounts to be 'grandfathered' in, we believe that those who have gone inactive or use the verification status maliciously, should now be held to the updated requirements. We will be conducting regular clean-ups to ensure that our verification process aligns with the new, stricter criteria. Given some of the concerns raised here in this thread, we will be accelerating these efforts 💚 We understand that preserving the integrity of the verification mark is incredibly important 🙏

Hey @kick , It would be lovely to stop handing out verification marks to those that haven't met the requirements. I've had one person DM me already asking to be a 'streamer friend' only to find out that they are verified with no panels, vods, clips and/or sub button. While some of us are grinding for those verification marks with dedication and hard work. Please make this make sense 😓
