@henrywinter What's bizarre is they introduced a rule to say it wasn't allowed after the Leeds one but never decided on a punishment. If they added to the rule that breaking it would exclude you from promotion that season it may have made sense and Southampton wouldnt have done it

The outrage about Spygate is understandable. If proven, it’s cheating. It’s seeking to gain a sporting advantage over an opponent. Let’s hope this ire is also now focused on other varieties of cheating in football, namely the amount of deceit that can stain games... 1/2

I am disgusted by all of this. Spent a fortune on travel & accommodation in London that’s now non-refundable. Thousands of City fans have spent an enormous amount combined. Now we’re told to gamble to secure tickets & cheaper travel/accommodation while prices creep up every day?

@lifelongsaint83 I think the learning from this is that all EFL rules should have a range of sanctions stated directly underneath that teams have to agree to enter the competition. Field an illegible player = 3 points deducted and £300k fine etc. That way this could move on quite quickly.

Boro do not deserve to be in the final. A guy with a phone did not prevent them from scoring, if they had taken their chances we would have been out, they didn't, not because of the temu spy, but because of their own lack of quality. Blows my mind people think otherwise #saintsfc

@FBAwayDays It'll be a fine and points deduction that applies to their next EFL season. So if Southampton go up EFL will wait until they come back down. But cant deny that Southampton have given the EFL a massive headache here that the EFL will get grief either way they decide.
