Seeing some fans mock this, but this is what football is all about - a community supporting your team when they win and when they come close. Too much of modern football has become over-commercialised and sanitised, especially at the top level.

Hearts are welcomed back to Tynecastle by a defiant support. Defeat to Celtic on the final day of the season ended their hopes of bringing home the club's first top flight title since 1960. #BBCFootball

An FA Cup Final that will live in the memory for years. Well, not years - possibly months. Maybe weeks. Days. Actually, what were we talking about? #FACup

It’s absolutely vital that Scottish football embarrasses itself today. None of this ‘showing our game in the best light for all the new eyes on it’ pish. Win or lose, it has to be authentic. The match needs it’s own standalone Wikipedia page as detailed as it’s government enquiry

I watched the first leg and Boro should have blitzed Southampton. Was the spy's message to try to let Boro have a headstart? It's naughty and it should be punished, but kicking a team out of the playoffs after a two-legged game that went to extra time, by the way, is absurd.

@BannerStef40416 @willsaints13 @MillwallDan85 Maybe because it’s Boro, Newcastle and Sunderland can both stick up for them where they wouldn’t each other. Like if it was Bournemouth, Saints would have no problem going into bat for them, but they’d never for Pompey 🤢🤣

Generally speaking, Boro and Hull fans think Southampton should be penalised (you wonder why), as do Portsmouth fans (obviously), and the rest of the world sees it as a massive nothingburger (which is it). #Spygate

@AlfieHouseEcho @TotalSaintsPod At what point does Boro’s constant begging and leaking things to the press start to constitute contempt of the EFL’s process? I can’t help but think they must be damaging their own cause. A legal case would have been thrown out by now 🤦🏻‍♂️

🚨 Middlesbrough statement on disciplinary hearing: “Middlesbrough FC notes the decision of the Disciplinary Commission not to permit the club to intervene in the proceedings brought by the EFL against Southampton FC. “The club regrets that outcome, given we are directly affected by the matters under consideration and hold relevant factual evidence as to the events in question and their competitive impact. “The conduct at issue, namely the observation and recording of our training session ahead of a fixture of such significance, goes to the heart of sporting integrity and fair competition. In these circumstances, the only appropriate response is a sporting sanction which would prevent Southampton FC from participating in the EFL Championship play-off final. “We remain hopeful that the EFL, as regulator, will pursue such a sanction before the Disciplinary Commission in order to protect the integrity of the game, safeguard all member clubs, and deter any attempt in the future to obtain an unfair and unlawful advantage in pursuit of promotion to the Premier League. “The club reserves all its legal rights.” #SaintsFC

It’s sad in a way that no matter how well a smaller club does, players / manager will always want to chase the big payday. I would’ve thought that potentially playing in Europe with a club like Bournemouth would be a fantastic thing in a players career.

🚨 Official: Marcos Senesi leaves Bournemouth as a free agent this summer, club confirms. Never in doubt since December as the centre back wants to stay in Premier League but joining another club.

Released on this day in 1995. One of the greatest singles of the era (or any era!). This version on Jools is one of all time great live television performances. A track that’s become synonymous with our events over the years. McAlmont & Butler - Yes 🙌

He bought a house in Clacton. No, actually, his girlfriend bought it. I barely even knew him. No, actually, I knew him very well. The money was for my security. No, actually it was a gift for Brexit. Literally nothing Farage says is true.
