@NYRChip23 I’ve wanted him ever since the yotes started scratching him

Would be a really smart replacement for Sheary on that third line.

Speculation that the Leafs might let Maccelli walk as an RFA this summer.

@JR_Dubya15 @nyr527 @spittinchiclets If you knew someone would comment you know your comment was pretty stupid lol.

On Shesterkin getting bumped by Eriksson Ek late in the game, Gavrikov had this to say: "Not anyone in the league is allowed to touch him."
Called it "a great response by our five."

J.T. Miller on what he senses is the biggest difference for #NYR lately and the improved feeling around the team:
"Since we came back from the break, it's been like that. We went through a lot in January, and then kind of had February to separate. I feel like ever since we came back, there’s been a buzz around the room. It's just nice to get the results when you earn them. I feel like earlier in the year, all we talked about was, we played really well and came up short. Now we're on the right side of things, but we don't want to get comfortable with that. We want to keep going and string as many together as we can here. There's a lot to like right now."

@BMonzoRadio 2 first round picks playing with mika idk how that’s not a top line 💀

The Rangers have found something in Laf / Mika / Gabe. The problem is, it’s a great second line that they’ll treat like a top line. #LGR
English

For anyone who wants to be optimistic about #NYR
if Gabe & Laf continue to thrive, perhaps next season goes much better:
13-93-94
8-16-RW2
50-42-14
24-4C - 73
84 XF
RW2 - overpay Bjorkstrand on a short term deal.
4C sign: Beck Malenstyn, Teddy Blueger or roll Parssinen

Lafrenière had 1G and 1A in the first period and has 7 points (3G and 4A) in total in 5 games and one period since the Olympic break. Quietly heating up. #NYR

We can debate whether the #NYR should have taken the best available offer for Vincent Trocheck or held out for more this summer, but the larger point is that a history of poor asset management has left them desperate to find a haul that may never come👇🏼 nytimes.com/athletic/70956…
English

Borgen whips a shot in transition off the feed from Trocheck and the #NYR have tied it at 1-1 with 13:34 to play in the first. Raddysh may have tipped it, or at least helped screen/distract.

Not trading Trocheck is a mistake. The Rangers are old and getting older each day and they can’t win. What are we doing here? #nyr

remember everyone:
doing nothing > doing something really dumb just because you want to do something #NYR
English

We do have one final #NYR trade to report: Brennan Othmann is heading to the Calgary Flames, per source.
English

He'll be fine.
Trocheck never asked to be traded, if anything, he wanted to stay, but understood the business side of things.
If anything, the guys in the room will be happy that he's staying.
Like Mike Sullivan said yesterday, all of the uncertainty for the rest of this season is now gone, and they'll be able to focus on hockey for the rest of the season.

I feel awful for Trocheck man. No clue how he’s supposed to walk back in that locker room like nothing happened. @NYRangersRadio | #NYR
