@TheCancerLetter @JeffRathmell They downsized the board of scientific counselors dramatically back in February. It’s definitely not a cost savings, they paid us pretty much nothing. We work on these boards to maintain the quality of science.

This holiday season, CCB students volunteered with @Tutoringchicago to distribute over 950 gifts to students across Chicago. Many of our members are involved in outreach organizations including Tutoring Chicago which provides tutoring to students facing economic/social barriers.

We had wonderful discussions at our first joint work-in-progress session with @UChicagoCOI! We can't wait to create more collaborative spaces for our graduate students and scientists in the future.

Meet David Rodriguez! David studied Biology at @ucsantabarbara and completed a post-bacc at @EinsteinPhD in NYC. He's interested in advancing cancer bio research and growing as a scientist. You can often find him skateboarding through the streets and neighborhoods of Chicago! 🛹
