@SecRollins @BrookeRollin1 @POTUS @FarmBureau if the republicans lose the #26midterms one of the under appreciated reasons why will be the lack of support for @POTUS and the current underwhelming results for Americans farmer and rancher. Whether it be the delayed decision on biofuels, the market response to tariffs or the unprecedented @USDA miss on planted acres. Farmers and ranchers are tired of being an afterthought. This group that has passionately supported Trump in the past is not going to all the sudden “flip sides” rather just not show up to the midterms. Ag county’s support just will not be present and that voter apathy will be enough to swing once solid red areas, blue. These folks won’t be gaslighted. Please give them the respect they deserve and the ability to make an honest living without government meddling.

It's weird that we can all clearly see how AI is about to wipe out millions of jobs all at once, destroy every artistic field, make it impossible for us to discern reality from fiction, and destroy human civilization as we know it, and yet not one single thing is being done to stop it. We aren't putting up any fight whatsoever.

Most growers know what they have to have to turn a profit. They understand what to add and what to cut. They walk fields, have a legacy of information on their farms trends. They know when the crop is ahead and when behind. What we need to remember is that time is our enemy most times when pricing our crop. Too often what we see in the field is not reflected in the market until revisions are issued and even then, only if it aligns with trade momentum. We must market in pockets, which is challenging when future costs are unknown. We see the uneven fields tasseling. We see beans blooming with less growth that’s normal. Tar spot, eye spot other spots. Some have gotten rains in time, other are hoping the get the tank off of E. There are tons of opinions from lots of people smarter than me that say this crop is huge. My eyes say different. I can’t move the market, but I can set our operation up to combat the time in which I could be proved correct in my assessment of a smaller 2025 IL crop. Point is, used your partners, just your experience and give yourself some runway to be able to realize this market years potential.

@biofuelslaw @GoddessofGrain @KLoeffler I understand you did not suggest a DC lawyer, however, the lobbying groups, usually full of DC lawyer types, have way too much influence on the USDA. There were prominent farmers too listed as possible choices. Too many people want that job. Too few live it’s consequences

@BarnardFarms @GoddessofGrain @KLoeffler Perhaps Loeffler would be better than a bureaucratic DC lawyer, but that is not what I said or suggested. The head of the USDA should go to an expert on agriculture.

The head of the #USDA can’t be the landing spot for a big donor who is not an expert on agriculture. Give the donors cushy ambassadorships in Europe if you must, but please put someone knowlegeable about Ags in charge of Ags. Too many lives depend on it. #corn #soybean #AgTwitter

Brilliant speech addressed to our ‘woke’ youth fighting #climatechange by Konstantine Kisin.
