Year 2 & Year 4 have arrived at the Bridgewater Hall and are ready to play with the Hallé orchestra! We are SO excited 🎷🎶

This afternoon in Geography, we used atlases to locate the UK, the 4 seas surrounding the UK and name local rivers.

In English, we worked collaboratively to bank noun phrases for one of our settings from our quality text. Super work Y2! @BarntonMissR

We finished the day with some art. We enjoyed using the impressionist style of painting to recreate an illustration from our quality text - Bog Baby. @BarntonMrsF @BarntonMissR

Today in English, we practised our reading by performing our Kennings poems to each other. Super confidence Y2! 🤩 @BarntonMissR

We had the best time at Marbury Park yesterday! We practised our Geography map work, and even spotted the Bog Baby from our English text! 💚 #BCNPSinspire @BarntonMissR

Day 4 of #childrensmentalhealthweek and today we learned all about the benefit of being physically active and how that improves our mood. We loved seeing the benefits of being outside in the fresh air. Thank you for the amazing photo trail @barntonMrJ! @BarntonMissR

Day 1 of Children’s Mental Health Week💭🧠 This afternoon Year 5 focused on ‘my voice matters’ and self identity. Well done children! 💙 @BarntonMissR @BarntonMissCo

Day 1 of #childrensmentalhealthweek and we focused on the theme of Self Identity. The children created their own identity recipes, thinking about what makes them unique. 🧠🌱 @BarntonMissR

In our Reading session today, we explored an alternative version of Bog Baby and focused on the use of suffixes. Alongside this, we learned how to use the vocabulary to read with expression and intonation. You’re such fabulous readers Y2! 🙌🏼📚 @BarntonMissR
