My life as a girl dad looks drastically different than others’ experiences. I don’t get to chase my daughter around a room as she squeals, I don’t get to her hear call out for “Dada”, and I don’t know if I’ll ever get to do daddy/daughter dances as she gets older. There’s a part of me that wants to look enviously upon my friend’s lives with daughters that easily hit developmental milestones and wish for what they have. But that’s not what I’ve been given. And there’s no healthy thing that can come out of living a life of resentment or jealousy. Instead, I focus on what I have been given. And I’ve been given so much more than what we ever thought we would have when we first had that ultrasound scan. I have a daughter who is content beyond belief. I have a daughter who is joy personified and who brings me immense happiness on a daily basis. I can do my own daddy/daughter dances in our home with a child who will be dependent upon me for much longer than other children will be with their dads. And I can view it as my privilege to care for her. Our perspective shapes our reality. And - despite the temptation - I choose to choose a mindset of thankfulness and joy. #parenting #dads #specialneedsdad #medicallycomplex #kids

Daughter is 7 weeks old- she had life saving surgery day 1 of life. I spent 2 weeks standing over her bassinet in the NICU, crying in the middle of the night, asking God why this was happening to my daughter and begging for strength to persevere while working 7 days a week in the middle of the NFL season. Wife and I haven’t slept more than 4 hrs/night since Nov. Last night, while holding her at 2 am, she briefly stopped screaming and made eye contact with me and smiled for the first time. No amount of success/money/fame/worldly reward has even sniffed the amount of purpose and fulfillment that single moment brought me.

@DynastyOnion Sounds great in theory, but hard to execute and make my team better over next few years. Are you thinking a Garrett Wilson + Breece Hall / Marvin Harrison type package? Does that make me any better, benching a Jordon Addison, Terry McLaurin and X Worthy because of it?

@BarrettScott21 This is the common misconception the trade plays against. Everyone just assumes players score the same thing as they did last year, and that rarely actually happens. What's much more likely is Gibbs doesn't have a back to back top scoring RB season.

Jahmyr Gibbs might be the most obvious sell candidate since Jonathon Taylor Dynasty startup 1.01 days. Bijan too if we're really being honest. Holding RBs with top 10 Dynasty adp thru the offseason has historically been bad process.

@DynastyOnion What if Gibbs gives me the best shot at winning another title this year? Wouldn’t you rather that, than chasing some made up future ‘projected value’? Dynasty leagues aren’t won because someone’s team is ‘the most valuable’ at some arbitrary moment in the future.

@BarrettScott21 The main reason to sell is because these players are at a value in which it's trivial to pivot to a more stable long term asset or a overpay package. Use anticipated hindsight to find players or a package you expect to have more value than Gibbs at this time next year.
