You’ve come to my bio in an attempt to find something to discredit me in an ad-hominem attack. Just stop.

@SansLettuce @jthewoz @dieworkwear @billybinion Formatting improves tweets. It makes them easier to understand and more attention-grabbing in a crowded feed of competing posts. Dismissing a concept based on an identity is called an ad-hominem fallacy. It is the pinnacle of elitism.

@jthewoz @dieworkwear @BarryGo27280265 @billybinion I'm not going to pretend I know his reasoning, but fashion bro might not be looking for *corporate* success, and he might not be interested in suggestions from someone who's a fan of Barry Goldwater. What makes this elitist?

Why do people write tweets like this? Where every sentence gets a new line. Sometimes a line might have two sentences. Like this one. But generally speaking, every sentence has a new line, making a tweet look like a long block of text that no one reads. Worse still, such tweets are often repetitive and winding, hammering on the same point over and over again. The writing is often very bad.

@stokesie725 @benryanwriter Tweets are the ultimate easy-to-scroll-past communication method. Because of this, you should strive to make your tweets easier to understand at a glance. Formatting makes a post easier to understand, not a traditional block paragraph.

@stokesie725 @benryanwriter You need remedial punctuation. Look below for punctuation help: ‘Agree - It’s fine when it's used in an internal business context, or for engineers, or whatever. In any other context, it resembles an airport bookstore sales motivation book.’

@dieworkwear @billybinion Thank you, but I absolutely will not be reading advice about fashion success as recommended by a guy who punctuates “Like this one.” as a sentence instead of a fragment.

@dieworkwear Admittedly, my grammar skills peaked at 5th grade, but isn’t what you punctuated as a sentence above (“Like this one.”) a fragment? ‘I absolutely will not be reading abut effective tweet format as recommend by a guy who can’t punctuate.’

@dieworkwear @billybinion “Tut, tut. I know what I know about effective communication and turn my nose up at anything else, even a widely used and respected method and guide.” “I argue with ad-hominem responses.” “Tut tut” (See…white-space here for faster reading for you.)

@dieworkwear Better with white/space: I think it's nice that we have different types of clothes to celebrate different occasions. Today, men typically reach for a business suit when they're told to "dress up." Gone is formal and semi-formalwear; even the necktie is disappearing from view

If you want to wear USA-themed socks, Dapper Classics has navy over-the-calf socks with subtle white and red pindots. The effect will be much more subtle and less child-like. They are also made in the USA. Wear them with proper dress shoes, not dress sneakers.

@dieworkwear @billybinion You never heard of “white space”? White-space is a common business writing technique for clear, easy-to-read communications and emails. Reference the book Write To The Top. This is X, not journal articles.

I refuse to buy into the notion that any reduction of US military presence in Germany is somehow a gift to Putin. Such reflexive BS that puts partisan talking points above military reality. Show me where 5000 fewer US troops in Germany changes the balance in Europe?
Brad Bowman@Brad_L_Bowman

The level of troops withdrawing certainly could be worse, but this is yet another self-inflicted wound by Washington to U.S. national security interests. Washington is essentially saying to Germany I am not happy with what you didn't do in the Middle East, so I am going to hurt myself in Europe and help Putin. Washington note to self: As they say, if you want someone with you at landing, try having them with you at takeoff. For those not fans of metaphors, here's something more clear for Washington: If you rudely and unnecessarily insult Europe in your National Security Strategy, try to steal Greenland from an ally whose solders fought and died with Americans in Afghanistan, appease the invader and insult the invaded in Ukraine, and fail to consult with European allies before a major war with Iran with massive economic consequences... then don't be surprised if they are little annoyed. This is a moment for statesmanship, not foreign policy governed by over-personalized mercurial emotion rather than a calm and objective assessment of American national security interests. America is safer and stronger because of our military posture in Germany. Putin is happy today. Americans should be concerned. x.com/Brad_L_Bowman/…
