@BarryLI1 He is doing exactly like the other rookies. He will only earn Level A bonuses. He will not earn the vast majority of his Level B bonuses. He is not good enough this season for that. He will likely earn around 100k for goals scored and that's about it.

A quick reminder that he is still closer to his 18th birthday than his 19th. It’s simply incredible. On pace for 27 goals and 59 points.

My word. This season. Now they’re scoring 2-on-3 in OT. So……… The gift of Schaefer, revival of Sorokin and elevation of Barzal has changed the #Isles equation. - JGP and Lee were always staying. No need to mess with the heart. If they’re gone next season, that’s OK. - The price for Robert Thomas will be too high. - But if you want to take a run at a Kyrou-type and the cost includes a pick and just one prospect in the B+ range? Sure. Give it a look. This is not just a moment. You’re not looking at one big trade just for the sake of extending a fairly magical season. It’s about the next 3-5 years — with this teenage superstar, a top-5 goalie, and the great Barzal and Horvat. It’s OK for the GM to think ambitiously. The core of players have earned it. Never in a million years did I think in September we’d be looking at the NYI this way. Actually, I would not have written this five weeks ago. But it’s part of the ride. Enjoy it.
