Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said one of the challenges they're facing is that the SEC is operating with 85 scholarships, while other conferences are operating at 105. Said if they get to 105, it will allow Texas to be aggressive in the transfer portal.

People who believe Texas should “just win its games and stop crying” are missing the point entirely. Take away the Ohio State game. Does that 9-2 Texas team get in the playoff? 100%. Texas isn’t “taking its ball and going home” by cancelling future big-time non-conference games if it chooses to do so. The CFP committee is forcing that on not just Texas, but everyone else too. And that sucks.

I have no problem with Texas not getting in to the CFP, some self inflicted wounds. I try not to have confirmation bias here . But don’t come yapping when your team got took behind the woodshed by us.

@nbaschez @camilomoresala This is not the case with interest rates at 6-7%, maintenance costs, insurance and property taxes. First 10 years of home ownership, the majority of payment goes to those. On a $5k mortgage, only about $850 goes toward principal. Not to mention 6% realtor costs when you sell.

I’ve heard many people say this and I fundamentally do not understand the perspective The alternative to home ownership is not the S&P500! You can’t live in an index fund. The alternative is rent, which always goes to $0. What am I missing?

A hill I will die on: Buying a a home is almost always not a great financial investment. yes, even taking into account leverage. looking at averages, investing in SP500 is more profitable (on average). and also, that's ok! buy because its a great emotional ivnestment.
