But the real conversation should be about the business behind it. At an entrance fee of 50k, even if she pulled a maximum crowd of around 5,000 people, that’s roughly 250M generated. Meanwhile, the very best most Ug artists can do at Lugogo Cricket Oval is about 10,000-15,000 people at 20k, which translates to around 200-300 million. So honestly, that’s not bad at all for an artist many Ugandans were not familiar with. She is not a Beyonce, Nicki or Riri caliber global superstar. On top of that, she also managed to tour Uganda, market the country, create buzz around different tourism spots, and still deliver on stage……something that definitely gave her promoters at the Uganda Tourism Board value for their investment.
