@SirJarus @yussynuhu I think being appointed CBN governor has nothing to do with background studies these days. Plus, the CBN is designed to survive even if a Medical Dr were to be appointed Gov. The current CBN gov studied managerial and administrative studies, and he is doing well.

He came as a journalist to become CBN director. That role could not have been economic or monetary policy related (if it was, that would have been a wrong fit). It would at best been corporate services (including media) directorate (the nearest fit for a journalist. Such a person being appointed CBN governor is still a miss, or at best, comes way less recommended than a Taiwo, a trained accountant that has done done fiscal policy for decades becoming finance minister.

Brother, Adamu Ciroma was the least educated for any finance position in Nigeria. In fact, his appointment as CBN governor in 1975 was, accoridng to Kole Omotoso, one of the most respected Nigerian political historians, a mistake. He studied History and Political Science in UI and was a journalist without any experience in economics, accounting or finance. Head of State Murtala Mohammed wanted to make him the MD of government newspaper, Daily Times and Aliko Mohammed, an accountant, as CBN governor. There was a mix-up and Ciroma was assigned CBN and Aliko Daily Times. When Murtala's attention was called to the error, he reportedly said "A general does mot change his mind" and that was how he became CBN governor instead of newspaper MD. This is the person you considered more qualified for finance role than Taiwo Oyedele?
Chris♏@ChrisTalksToo

@SirJarus Sir, it doesn't still take away the fact that he's still the least educated. We had people like NOI, Adamu Ciroma, Nenadi Usman lead our finance ministry. I get he's your former boss, but it still doesn't take away the fact that he's one of the least since at least 1999.

@Lujain_Moha Now that you narrowed it to Yola whenever anyone from Gembu speaks, an Adamawa Pullo will instantly know you are from Gembu, because of the influence of the Mambila accent Written correspondence from the Lamido Palace is done in Hausa not Fulfulde.Making Hausa the official Lang.

@BashirAddah I myself learnt Hausa in secondary school away from Adamawa. A shop keeper or napep guy will only speak Hausa to you if he notices you can’t respond in fulfulde, and I have cousins, nieces and nephews who speak only fulfulde and English.

@Lujain_Moha There are Fulani in Borno and have always been. The Fulani in Ilorin are only genetically Fulani.Yola still maintains its culture with deep Hausa influence; hence, it’s the language of communication in the Lamido Palace. I am from Gembu, and yes, our culture is influenced too.

@BashirAddah First, there’s hardly fulanis from maiguduri. The ones in illorin still speak fulfulde alongside Yoruba, also the ones in Gembu unless you haven’t interacted with them. Also noticed how you skipped states in north east where the fulanis maintain their tradition and language.

Before this week, the highest single-customer sale we made on Twitter was N400m in 3.5 years of actively promoting my company's products here. This week, by Allah's mercy, Jarus Homes made a single-customer sale of N650m. There was another N100m sale in same week. N750m in a week is our highest ever for a week. With 6 house and 6 shop sales already this year, we have surpassed full year sales for 2025 by second week of April 2026. Cumulatively, we have had sales of N3.5 billion on Twitter. Thanks to everyone for the trust in my brands. I promise to not let you down. Please keep patronizing Jarus Homes. Now, who will break the new record? Just pick up multiple of the opportunities below. For those still praying to patronize, I will continue to groom you with educative content that will increase your earning capacity so you can come and patronize me five years after getting job in Shell or NLNG😃

Whenever you have musculoskeletal pain, consider seeing an experienced physiotherapist. You don’t have to swallow drugs all the time. I had a pain in my left leg but didn’t remember having an injury. After blood tests for glucose and kidney function, as well as x-rays and scans, the hospital couldn’t find anything wrong. Seven days of physio - ultrasound, infrared heat and gentle massage cured it. If you want an excellent physiotherapist in Abuja, I would recommend Mr Moses Ajani on +234 813 842 5025. I have used him for more than 10 years and he has treated me for everything from back pain to whiplash injury following two car accidents. He has also successfully treated a friend of mine who had a stroke and the effects of the stroke are now mostly unnoticeable. His clinic in Kado, Abuja, is not posh but he is one of the best in Nigeria. I have referred many “big” people in society to him and they have been full of praise.

@bosuntijani As noble as this project is,I believe the underlying issues in Plateau State that successive governments failed to address are the key to peace. Mr President,Sir damn the consequences, and faced those issues squarely, even if it meant forcing the hands of PSG as you did Subsidy

I was 24, a student at the University of Jos, when the first major attack struck our city. Twenty-five years later, Jos, and indeed Plateau State is still searching for lasting peace. This is not just a memory for me; it is a responsibility. One of the most important missions my team and I will ever take on is to help secure a future where Jos truly knows peace again.

Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy @bosuntijani says artificial intelligence-powered cameras will be deployed across Plateau State, starting with Jos, to improve security. He adds that similar initiatives have worked in other states to help end the crisis.

I’m on Band A, yet @aedcelectricity gives me less than 6 hours of power daily. On the best days, I get 10 hours, but at night there’s no supply at all. Since yesterday i had no blink of electricity. What options do I have to seek redress? This is pure exploitation @NERCNG

@JainalMomin You were smart not to step out. I witnessed a supermarket being robbed in São Paulo. I was in it to buy fruits. Never seen anything like that. The whole incident was less than two minutes. This was after I was robbed by the taxi driver from the airport. Fear Brazil.

I was in São Paulo, Brazil, on a business trip. The night before departure, I wanted a drink, but the lounge of the hotel was closed for a private party. I didn’t want to go out of the building alone at that time, so I started talking to one of the private guards. Then a lady came closer and asked if there was a problem. I explained that I was hoping to get a drink but didn’t want to bother anyone. She spoke very good English (I can manage some Portuguese, but I’m definitely not fluent) and explained that it was a party after a wedding.

I am a muslim, and in the UK. I have never think about 50-50. She hasn't been working (more than 2 years) due to child care and we are doing okay. I gave her my salary, pay bills and we save the rest. When she was working, we combine everything, and she holds what is left to save. I am a muslim and a Northerner, we have never had any issue over money or I am working more. If I had the means , wallah, I would prefer her to remain at home whilst I fend for us. She wants to work and I will support her. A northern man is a provider, and we don't break. Alhamdulillah, our women always come through and we don't talk about 50 50 at all. Any amount coming to the home is for the family. Laslty, I am an Igala man. We are strong men 😀 May Allah continue to make it easy for us.

I want to ask how do Muslim couples, especially Nigerians, who believe that it’s the man’s sole responsibility to foot all the bills, cope in the UK?

Killing people because they are Muslims and eating their flesh while burning them alive has to be one of the worst kind of barbaric evils to have happened in the history of Nigeria. With the videos coming out of Jos, this is the second time that a crime of this magnitude has been committed, recorded and shared on the Internet. The Christian militia and the Boko-haram terrorists and bandits operating in Jos and other parts of Nigeria are not different by any means. They are all the same, monsters and evils, spawns of the Devils. May Allah destroy them all for the evils that they commit. Āmīn.

I have ideology. And key to that ideology is fairness and balancing. In plural societies, these things matter. And good of you to think someone from minority groups cannot drive development. Who tells you "drivers of development" can only come from one region or religion?
Hadj GESINDE Tunde@hadj_gesinde

@SirJarus It's evident, Sir J; don't really have philosophical ideas on politics and governance. 😂😂 religious case in driving development to the state? We are not advocating for local politics in Kwara State again.

@SirJarus @haiamkophee People ignore power of religion in most North central states, Kogi, Niger and Kwara will always vote for a Muslim Candidate regardless, I was shock when an Igala Man who hated Ododo told me he will vote for Ododo an Ebiraman over Edward Onoja a Christian and his tribesman.

There should be a religious case too. Kwara has not produced a Christian governor since C.O Adebayo in 1983 (just 3 months). Christian population in Kwara should be up to 30%. Kwara South is almost 50:50. Some LGs like Ekiti and Isin have Christian majority. Some like Ifelodun, Irepodun, and Oyun have up to 40% Christians too at least while Offa has at least 25%. The dynamics of 1983 where strongman Olusola Saraki supported UPN candidate Adebayo was different. There is no such strongman in Kwara again. If APC, the strongest party in the state now, fields a Christian, they could play into the hands of opposition party that will field a Muslim from Ilorin. The 1983 case needed a strongman godfather to make happen. And realistically, in 2027, all leading aspirants are even Muslims. I wonder why we don't see leading Christian candidates in Kwara guber.
Sir J (J9)@SirJarus

I think it will be unfair if Kwara Central produces the next governor of Kwara. Since 1999 - Mohammed Lawal, 4 years, Kwara Central - Bukola Saraki, 8 years, Kwara Central - Abdulfatah Ahmed, 8 years, Kwara South - Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, 8 years, Kwara Central. Kwara North should produce next governor.

Muhammad Sambo Wali' (c.1780-1826), third son of Shehu Usman dan Fodio and eldest surviving at his death in April 1817. Muhammad Sambo is lesser-known than his younger brothers Sultan Bello (d.1837), Atiku (d.1842) or Ahmad al-Rufa'i (d.1872). His mother was the Shehu's second wife Aisha bint Muhammad Sa'ad but better known as 'Iyya-Garka' (Hausa for 'Mother of the House') or Ga'abdo (Fulfulde for 'Beloved'). Muhammad Sambo Wali was a scholar and did not hold military or administrative responsibilities compared to his younger siblings. He is known to be a Sufi, a murid, and a teacher to many scholars, including his maternal nephew Shaykh Abdul Qadir ibn Shaykh Mustafa at-Torodi (1804-1864, better known as 'Mallam dan Tafa'), who wrote an esoteric biography about him. At the death of the Shehu in April 1817, Sambo Wali was said to be the first to pledge allegiance to his younger brother Muhammad Bello as leader of the community. He died on 29 August 1826, during the reign of Sultan Bello. The current Waziri of Sokoto, Sambo Wali Junaidu, seems to be named after him.
