The money is deducted from their paycheck to "protect" them against spending it on something else than a vacation.
You then have to apply to get the money back, and the State relies on many forgetting this, and thus pockets the money.

Tylko prezydent Trump ma taką odwagę, amerykańska armia wycofuje się z Niemiec. Pierwsza partia 5000 amerykańskich żołnierzy natychmiast rozpoczyna proces wycofywania. Trump stwierdził, że to dopiero początek; i podkreślił, że nie oszczędzi też Hiszpanii i Włoch. Hiszpania to lewacko szalony rząd, niech sami szaleją. Meloni z Włoch nie docenia i jeszcze trochę się wywyższa, więc Trump nie musi jej więcej dawać twarzy. Skoro chce stać po stronie tego lewicowego, skorumpowanego papieża, to niech sami się bawią. Trump powiedział to bardzo jasno i bardzo trafnie, Ameryka nie potrzebuje NATO, NATO potrzebuje Ameryki. Oszczędzanie pieniędzy amerykańskich podatników, nie karmienie więcej niewdzięcznych wilków, to dobra sprawa.

Who’s angry? Judging by all the sanctimonious responses I’m getting, I wonder if a sense of humor has vanished from Europe? Why so insecure? And yes, we allow horrible ultra-processed food loaded with corn syrup and additives to be sold in the US. That fact doesn’t make the EU goofy plastic bottle cap any less entertaining. Lighten up. 😎

If I were from the US, I’d be far more concerned about the lack of regulation over what can legally be sold as food, rather than get angry over the EU’s mildly inconvenient efforts to reduce plastic waste.

We Włoszech jest baza Aviano - bez niej ochrona Izraela będzie dużo mniejsza i trudniejsza bądź poza lotniskowcami -żadna. Bazy Navy we Włoszech są też potrzebne ale mniej ważne niż Rota w Hiszpanii. Bez Roty kontrola Morza Śródziemnego będzie słabować. No to zobaczymy co zrobią 🤭
