2 facts about Tanzanians 1- They love soup( supu) like the bagisu in Uganda. In school, I remember other students calling us gishus suupu just because my tribe mates drunk a lot of it. 2- They are the most literate country in east Africa. With the biggest %age of adults who can both write and speak a language. That language is Swahili, I know some of you think speaking English alone makes you literate, wapi !

@SSemstine @GODFREY_Kutesa BOU doesn't make rates, they are market driven. It only intervenes in extreme cases,by buying or selling a particular currency to stabilise supply.

Can anyone show me a Sinotruk that’s five years old and still reliably carrying heavy loads, say sand from Masaka? 😄 It’s almost unheard of. Most of the major truck accidents we see on the roads involve Sinotruks, often due to brake system failure. That alone speaks volumes about their build quality and reliability.

This man is called Kintu and hails from Northern Kivu Province in DRC. I wonder what language he speaks. Also, the US administration really canceled all visas issued to South Sudanese nationals simply because they (the US) mistakenly sent a Congolese national to South Sudan and SS didn’t let him in? That’d be a tad embarrassing.

Fly Express taxis from Kampala to Entebbe are just 5K, and it takes less than an hour to get here. Why don’t y’all live in Ebbs? This place is peaceful, beautiful, and the air feels like it pays taxes.

This! UGANDA imports coffee worth only $1m (UGX 3.7 billion) per year! The argument that we 'donate' money to the counties that process coffee is to say the least, not backed up by facts! Barnabas Taremwa submits that UGANDA's trying to process coffee and sell it on the international market, is akin to a farmer in Rwampara cooking Matooke for sale in Kampala. The logistical and other challenges make it an unviable venture. chimpreports.com/opinion-taremw…

Opinion poll @RwenzoriMarathn We as a team are already planning, for next year, 4th Edition. The debate is now whether we should maintain the 6th of September or adjust to the 23rd August. The risk with 6th September is the weather in Kasese, its challenges and risks. weather in September comes with its own set of challenges. You can expect *rainfall* throughout the month, with an average of 14 rainy days. The rain can be heavy at times, leading to *flash flooding* and making outdoor activities challenging. *High temperatures* and *humidity* are also common in September, with average highs reaching 28°C (82°F) and average lows ranging from 17°C (63°F) to 18°C (64°F).² This can make the heat feel oppressive, especially during the day. Additionally, September is still within the *wet season* in Kasese, which means the roads and trails can be slippery and difficult to navigate. Visiting Kasese towards the end of August has its advantages. The weather is generally dry, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and wildlife viewing.¹ Now kasese in August has many benefits - *Dry Weather*: The dry season makes it easier to explore the beautiful landscapes and national parks in the area. - *Wildlife Viewing*: The dry weather also makes it easier to spot wildlife, as they tend to congregate around water sources. - *Hiking and Climbing*: The Rwenzori Mountains, located near Kasese, offer excellent hiking and climbing opportunities during the dry season. - *Fewer Crowds*: Visiting towards the end of August means you'll encounter fewer tourists, making for a more peaceful and authentic experience. So over to you our community, what do you think? August 23rd or 6th September
