2023: Maybe the F-35 can be detected under certain conditions by advanced militaries
2025: One of the poorest countries in the world can detect and lock on to the F-35 but can't hit it
2026: A poor country can detect, lock on to, and hit the F-35 and force it to make an emergency landing but it can't destroy it in the air

Anyone arguing that minor damage to a US aircraft, sustained while lollygagging over hostile airspace is an epoch altering event is arguing the US military is so strong that the mere damaging of one of its weapons is a great feat.

man, if Iranians detected and mission killed an F-35 without some asinine non-reproducible one-off trickery, this must be the biggest American loss in this war (SO FAR). China will study the method and scale it up. Buh-bye Aerospace Republic.

@teortaxesTex The brief visible damage ironically makes me think this might be legit. With engine and control surfaces intact, it's not out of the question that it could cruise out. Of note, she looks in full afterburner before the hit, clear Mach disks. Running hard. I think they knew.

@TrompBK Przecież fakt że Iran bombarduje infrastrukturę energetyczną w państwach które go nie zaatakowały powinien stanowić ostateczny dowód na to że możliwości reżimu muszą zostać zniszczone, bo lepiej by wcale nie było gdybyśmy czekali aż będą mieli 8k rakiet balistycznych zamiast 2-3k

Irańczycy twierdzą, że udało im uszkodzić F-35. Poniższe nagranie ma przedstawiać moment uderzenia. Nie znam się na takich rzeczach, więc nie ocenię wiarygodności.
Natomiast amerykańskie media piszą, że jeden F-35 faktycznie miał zostać trafiony nad Iranem - samolot miał później wylądować w jednej z baz USA w regionie.
Cóż, Irańczycy też chcą mieć swój "Crni bombarder moment". ;)
