That’s kind of the problem with MHA lmao The unspoken truth of all capeshit is that a world that needs superheroes for anything but the greatest crises is a dystopia, but the genre can’t acknowledge and work toward creating a society that doesn’t rely on capes

Horikoshi’s worldview is arguably worse? He treats police and superheroes as a necessity to keep the world “safe,” but most systemic problems in MHA get brushed aside. Wider systemic issues are ignored in order to justify law preserving violence
