It took Pep until the 22nd of March to figure out the best way of playing for his team. By that time, City were already knocked out of the Champions League by an Mbappé-less Madrid. This idea that coaches ALWAYS get it right is nonsense. Less eyes on City. Less pressure. But the broader point centres around Arteta. He is the reason Arsenal are in this position in the first place. He is the reason Arsenal got their highest ever points tally in Premier League history. The reason Arsenal are competing for major titles every season. The reason Arsenal are in the Champions League semi-final for two consecutive seasons. Even though, when he arrived, the club were physically, technically, culturally, and psychologically inept. Be grateful for what you have. And the fact that you are competing in the first place. With a club that has the fourth of fifth biggest wage bill in the league. With a club that plays by the rules. With a club that says 'no' when their coach or director wants a player for several seasons because of financial limitations. With a club that hasn't won the Premier League since 2004. Or a Champions League in their history. Imagine if Arsenal lose the league on goal difference and lose the Champions League final. Should Arteta be sacked? That's what people are discussing. Despite what I've said above. Arteta is one of the best coaches in the world. In fact, he is the most complete in the world. GOOD LUCK replacing him. Similar to when Klopp left Liverpool. The foundations are so special that the next manager may succeed in the short-term, but all the best maintaining what he built over a long period of time. The only way that is possible is by replacing him with another one of the best managers in the world. Wake up. Some people don't know what reality is, even if it slaps them in the face.

@inecnigeria Hi @inecnigeria , I registered for my PVC in 2011 and got it. But the card is damaged now. Now, I need a new PVC and will like to know how I can get it. I also wish to know if there will be any need for revalidation. I can provide more details via DM.

INEC TASKS YOUTHS ON ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN CVR, WARNS AGAINST APATHY The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has intensified stakeholder engagement with Nigerian youths, urging them to take full advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise as a critical step toward strengthening democratic participation and national development. The event, convened by NYSC corps member and INEC advocate, Magaji Ndagi, focused on enhancing youth participation in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process under the theme “Enhancing Youth Engagement in Continuous Voter Registration.” The forum had in attendance representatives of the Commission, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), as well as students and corps members. Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, the National Commissioner, Mallam Mohammad Kudu Haruna, who also chaired the occasion, underscored the constitutional and legal foundations underpinning voter registration in Nigeria. He noted that the right of citizens to choose their leaders is guaranteed under the Constitution, while the Electoral Act provides clear conditions for voter eligibility and procedures for registration. “A credible voters’ register remains the foundation of every free, fair, and credible election,” he stated, stressing that only citizens who are duly registered are empowered to exercise their franchise. Providing an update on the CVR exercise, Haruna explained that the first phase commenced in August and ended in December, while the ongoing second phase, which began in January, is scheduled to close shortly, to be followed by a final phase. He further highlighted statutory timelines, noting that voter registration must end at least 90 days before any general election to allow for data processing, verification, and production of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs). Citing recent figures, he disclosed that millions of Nigerians have registered so far, with youth constituting a significant proportion, but emphasised that the numbers still fall short of expectations when compared to the demographic strength of young people. Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Obinna Obirim conveyed the Minister’s strong commendation of the convener, describing the initiative as a model of youth-driven leadership and civic responsibility. He noted that Nigeria’s youth population, which constitutes over 50 percent of the total population, holds the decisive power to shape democratic outcomes and national development. “Democracy does not thrive on silence. It does not grow through indifference, nor through mere expressions on social media. It flourishes when citizens actively participate,” he stated. Dr. Obirim emphasised that voter registration remains the most fundamental step in democratic participation, warning that failure to register effectively excludes individuals from influencing governance. “Your voice does not count by merely expressing opinions online. It begins when you register and is affirmed when you vote,” he added. He expressed concern that despite their numerical strength, many young Nigerians remain disengaged from the electoral process, often limiting their participation to commentary rather than action. The Minister, through his representative, urged youths to transition from passive observers to active contributors, mobilising themselves and their peers to participate in the CVR exercise and elections. He also highlighted several youth empowerment initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, including digital skills programmes, data protection training, and entrepreneurship support schemes, encouraging young people to take advantage of such opportunities.

@IdrisAOni1 @ogbeniboma You're attacking scholars who have been liberating Muslims in Yorùbáland for whatever reasons known to you. Fear Allah. The scholars you're directly or indirectly attacking are, by Allah's mercy, the reasons some of us don't miss solât again or get involved in Sufi-level nonsense

Again, I am not his fan at all and I do not recommend him to anyone. However, everything he said in this video is true, good and I completely agree with him. This is the same message that I have been preaching consistently for more than two decades of my life. I am not his fan and do not recommend because of his methodology, particularly in some of his public lectures. Methodology that I believe very strongly would harden the hearts of listeners more than it helps them to learn and become better Muslims. This short video isn't one of that.

I do not spread such things against any scholar. When I find their mistakes, I do not publicize it further. I wouldn't have made that kind of comment if that post wasn't made. Whoever seeks to know the truth can search for it on their own. If anyone feels I vilified him, they can sue me or have him sue me.

It’s easy to point fingers at @IdrisAOni1 for stating the obvious truth about the so called indoctrination centers called Halaqoot, I disagree with him a lot, But it’s obvious to the blind that MOST of those Halaqoot are nothing but centers of problems and Divisions to the Muslim community. You know how many times the same Amubieya has uttered many lame words about our past scholars that shouldn’t even be uttered by a primary school student, sometimes , I even fear for him that his gigantic works in promoting Islamic knowledge should not go in vain because of his bad utterances towards past scholars who paved the way with their blood and sweat. University degrees apart, over the years and Historically, Scholars who made lasting impacts are not just knowledgeable, they have sincerity , foresight, Vision and Flexibility, they don’t indoctrinate Muslims and Cause Divisions among the ummah, They are Bridge Builders and are leaders who teach Islam without sentiments. Many will be scholars, But only a few will make lasting impacts.
Copy Counsel@BenYousef_E

Shaykh Amubieya did khidmah for a Shaykh at the mamlakah. He was a research assistant and also studied directly under the Shaykh. He left Nigeria with the hope of going to a jāmi'ah after 2 years of serving the Shaykh. When he finally informed the Shaykh about his intention to go to the university, he (the said Shaykh) became furious and told him the knowledge in the university was in his classes. Don't you see that those that teach in the university come here to study and I teach you together with them? He said as rebuked the idea. Shaykh Amubieya never made it to university but you'll never know, unless you read his biography from reliable sources. Apart from studying in that Shaykh's halqah, Allah made fath for him so much he started teaching at the mamlakah. They never wanted him to leave but they felt his service was needed more in Nigeria than at the mamlakah. Oni PhD gibbering about how real knowledge isn't taught at halaqāt, does he even know that with his imamship, there are halaqāt in Yoruba land that he's not fit to join? He will not get accepted. Jokes on you mate.

@IdrisAOni1 @yojora Dedewure level! The Halqahs have done far more than the yeyenatu Asalatu. Some of us improved our understanding and and practice of Islam thanks to these Sunni scholars and Halqahs. No serious Muslim man will allow his wife or wives attend the so-called Asalatu

Majority of these so-called Halqahs are dens of indoctrination and extremism. The vast majority of them are not teaching Islam, they are leading people towards hatred and misunderstanding. This is the truth, and it will hurt them but it is what it is. The Asalatu might have problems that need to be remedied but they've contributed immensely to Islam and Muslim lives in the Southwest and beyond. What needs to be done is reformation for better output. These new proponents of Halqahs know so little, yet can be so arrogant and unyeilding. Their style of arguing without knowledge is further proof that they have been indoctrinated.

-A lot of people learned a lot about Islam through these asalatu, they even had kids sections. -Many people learned a lot of prophetic Duas there -it created communities for Muslims and provided platforms to get support for many Islamic causes These are just a few

Since the inception of Asalatu, what tangible benefits have Muslims in the South-West gained? Since the emergence of Halqoh in the South-West, what measurable successes can be pointed to? The answers will reveal the reality.

What Labour is doing is reminiscent of the terrible energy policies I saw growing up in Nigeria. ❌Stupid taxes 🧾Endless bureaucracy and government interference 🏭❌ No refining capability ⛽⚠️...and now Labour are warning about rationing and fuel shortages. The UK can do better than Labour's energy insanity. The @Conservatives Cheap Power Plan explains how we can do this. It’s time to drill in the North Sea and scrap green taxes that are killing investment and driving up bills.

Just look at this: President Trump is at war with Iran, A war in which Iran has not attacked anywhere in mainland usa, a war in which America has killed top Iranian government figures, Yet President Trump who can afford to travel to visit China is not doing so. But Tinubu, an ineffective, inefficient, incompetent figurine is hopping on a flight and gallivanting to uk today just after 23 nigerias were bombed to death and over 100nigerians are terribly injured from suicide bomb attacks in maiduguri yesterday. There is leadership and there is buffoonery. It is obvious what we have in aso rock today.

Simi, get rid of those nonsense tweets fast!!! This is a no-brainer. You should have done this long ago. I honestly don’t even know how people dig up things like this. I’m not exonerating her, but Twitter used to be a place where people said anything and everything. The world wasn’t this cynical back then.

🚨 NEW: United players are now allocated a day off the day after matches, a break in post-match routine from the Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim eras. Ten Hag and Amorim insisted on recovery days the day after games, with those who had not played at least 45 minutes put through a full training session. Yet Carrick has decided to give United players the next day off following fixtures, with recovery sessions taking place the day the players report back at the club’s Carrington training complex. Carrick has already imposed himself as head coach, shortening United’s training days but upping the intensity of sessions. There has been a greater focus on individual work with specific players, with former defenders Jonathan Woodgate and Jonny Evans working with the centre backs on their technique. [@samuelluckhurst]

I take back what I said. Mikel made a good choice with the team selection on Sunday. That man is rarely wrong. His plan was simply to box United in entirely in their own third and he selected the profiles for that and he succeeded in mostly doing that. However, we needed some speed. Madueke/Martinelli should have played.

I still don’t understand something. Why are PhD students in Nigeria paying school fees? PhD is not school in the normal sense. It’s research work. You’re producing knowledge. You’re teaching undergrads. You’re publishing papers. You’re raising the university’s ranking. In every sane system: – PhD students are funded – Their tuition is covered – They are paid stipends for research and teaching In Nigeria? We treat the highest level of knowledge production like a burden instead of an investment. You can’t starve research and expect innovation. Education in Nigeria is just upside down.

Mikel Arteta: “First of all, congratulations to Man United for the victory. It happened in a really strange way, because we were really dominant in the first half an hour, scored a goal & then we gave them the goal, that shifted the momentum & energy.” “After that, we dropped the standards, especially with the ball, things we have to do much better & the game wasn’t in control. Then, they had two magic moments & the two goals they scored, credit to them.” “We were carrying that negativity a little bit & the lack of fluidity we needed. We made the changes, we created some momentum, scored for 2-2 & you could feel, ‘Game on’, everything changed immediately.” “The next action, one vs one in the box, we expect something, it goes to a goal kick. One long ball, one pass & Cunha scores. So, a really painful one.”
