@LowBoomLowDrift @wilkjef @JoshBoersen Cover crop oats after wheat as an example, even at low seeding rates it’s a popular time to apply dairy manure, they can get dense and thick in a hurry. Tough to get all the way thru the canopy to the weeds germinated underneath with such low water volumes

What is the lowest water volume you have applied out of your sprayer ? What chem ? What adjuvant? Did it work ? What about the airplane? Same results or different ?

@LowBoomLowDrift Sometimes or to get a whole case of product in the tank at label rate, for example I’ll spray Callisto at 14.3gpa because a case covers 112 acres. Just simplifies loading. Although there’s definitely been a trend towards 20 and 40 acre cases which is much nicer.

@BaumanFb Hmmmm. Maybe higher water rates in ontario are to match tank size to field size ? Sometimes I wonder.

@LowBoomLowDrift I’d have to get another set of tips to try anything lower than 10. Lot of factors though, contact vs systemic MOA, how dense a canopy, wind. Also not many times I need to stretch my tank more than 160 acres, our fields just aren’t that big

Pretty poor wear point on a 7 year old planter, hope the bushing wears a bit better. Closing wheel tail spring.

@islandviewag @BaumanFb @MvanbommelMikes Yeah, would suggest more carbon penalty if notilling. We will just hit with our vt tools like we normally do. Having patience is critical now, would be nice to work on some good frost but if not its wait for dry conditions. We still have enough old snow inside our corn yet

@dsolson100 @Shawridgefarm @JohnDeere I’m sure they are getting ROI just not in direct high HP 8R sales. My thought was wider reach, more brand visibility, more people familiar with the product that might buy *something* from Deere someday. I’m no expert in marketing that’s jus let what I see them getting from it

@BaumanFb @Shawridgefarm @JohnDeere If you’re spending money on marketing and paying the YouTubers you should want a return on that investment. Deere has never had a hard time generating a buzz on a new product launch. Maybe I’m just getting old and cranky haha

Someone explain to me what @JohnDeere would get to out of paying YouTuber’s to make videos on their new tractors. I’m trying to learn about them and it’s annoying having to watch a video from someone that doesn’t know what they’re talking about it. No one cars what they think
