Never heard once anyone from the Giants or those who follow the team closely call Daniel Jones a bad teammate, or lazy, or not a good guy. None of that was ever an issue. You want to know why Jones got the contract he did two years ago? Win a playoff game, show competence and an entire organization says, "Great guy, we see it, it's gonna happen, it has to, he's worth it." You're more willing to take chances on good people, and less upset you gave $82 million to a really good guy. That's not roughing up Daniel Jones - that's the crux of why the Giants wanted this to work SO BADLY.
