Every fucking time I upgrade neovim these days. I swear to god 90% of you should not be using neovim, use vim bindings in your IDE and stop adding "ASCII art" bloat to my editor :P

This is why I never fully jived with the terminal only crowd. Ya'll will add so much mental overhead to avoid picking your hand up it's crazy. Yeah man just run this command and hit Ctrl+X Æ A-12 it's totally faster than flicking your wrist in 0.3ms

@joshmanders I think the same settling exists in GUI software too, just see the VSC plugin store. Hell, entire industries live off of the bad defaults some of this software ships would. Terminals transparently expect you to tweak your tooling, GUIs are just silently restricting until you do

@joshmanders idk man my ipad has gotten near unusable because of apple's insistence that they know what's best, removing features I relied on basically every update. my pixel on the other hand has only gotten better with time, and remains tweakeable if it needs it (it doesn't)
