One of the Democratic supermajority legislatures should lead the front and install a Multi member proportional representation (split between single member seats and list seats to balance proportionality). End the toxic D vs R binary system. Need new parties with a fresh image, slogans and messaging

He was truly respected and loved, and will be missed. My thoughts are with the Serra family as they grieve this loss.

Upon being elected, I noticed that not a single person at the Capitol had anything bad to say about Joe. This is truly rare and remarkable for someone being involved in politics for so long, and it is a testament to his character.

Joe Serra was my predecessor in the State House, where he served for 28 years. He was well known throughout town and at the Capitol for his love of Middletown, his sense of humor, and the stories he would tell.

@ChrisMurphyCT I agree with your analysis overall, but the fact is the Democratic Party has gone out of its way to crush the actual left populist movement in this country for the past two decades, giving the disgruntled and aggrieved masses nowhere to go but right.

@AngieMaxwell1 Many Democrats voted down ballot and left the presidency blank. I’m guessing due to the anointment of Kamala, and the war on Gaza. I got more votes as state rep than Kamala / Walz received in my district. This never happens, but it did throughout my state and the country

What are the odds of this happening in 5 of the swing states? Honest question. And not all Senate incumbents, either.
