Street Credibility - Oscar update.
6 months ago I shared the story of one of my clients, Oscar- how we met, and his returns.
Here’s the update. It did very well.
We nailed the spike in oil, the buyout proposal on $ZIM, the spike in $STAA, shorting $UVXY and mostly the $QQQ ratio spreads.
This isn’t to flex, I don’t sell subscription services. It’s to show you that what I share here for free translates to real money.
Everything was shared. No secrets.

The Story of Oscar This story has two purposes: 1.To show that my ideas generate alpha and why you should consider the trades I share. 2.To tell a simple story about trust. In 2022, after years of easy money, the Fed pivoted. Volatility returned. I tweeted: “Things are finally getting interesting.” A few people and funds reached out, one of them was Oscar. He started with a small amount that he wanted me to manage, then added more as the year went on. We clicked right away. No management fees. I only charge a performance fee at year-end, if the client wins, I win. By year-end, Oscar was up ~20% thanks to the $VIX strategies. The S&P was down 18%. I calculated my 20% success fee, then realized we never signed anything. I told Oscar the number and added, “You can pay whatever you think is fair.” He was offended: “We agreed on X. Why would I pay you less?” I smiled. “That’s true.” As you can see below, Oscar did well in the years that followed using the same strategies I recommend here. We’ve been friends ever since. Every once in awhile we talk markets, real estate, and life. This year, we’re finally meeting in Madrid. Still no contract. Just trust.

No evidence has been provided, and the source — Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service — is highly questionable and lacks credibility.
According to the agency, German scientists could allegedly obtain enough weapons-grade plutonium within a month to build a nuclear explosive device in secret.
Previously, the same agency claimed that Ukraine was planning to create a so-called “dirty bomb.” As expected, those predictions did not come true.

There are two things to look for at a market bottom:
• $SPX opens very low and then recovers
• $VIX goes from green to red
This won’t necessarily be THE BOTTOM, but it can be a time to buy equities and start shorting $VIX via $VXX & $UVXY
Until then, stay away.

I believe this selloff has run its course, and we’re in a “buy everything” moment as the $VIX flips negative while the S&P 500 holds a modest -0.5% decline.

Правительство разрабатывает законопроект о разделении моделей искусственного интеллекта на суверенные и национальные. Их сертификацией, как предполагается, займутся ФСТЭК и ФСБ, пишет "Коммерсант".
Суверенной будет считаться модель, если все этапы её разработки, обучения и эксплуатации выполняются российскими компаниями на территории страны. Национальные модели допускают использование зарубежных open-source-решений, а также обучение не только на российских датасетах.
Документ также предусматривает обязательную предустановку программ с доступом к таким ИИ-моделям на смартфоны и планшеты.
Эксперты указывают, что полностью суверенных моделей на рынке практически нет: даже крупные компании опираются на открытые иностранные библиотеки. По их оценке, создание модели с нуля без зарубежных open-source-инструментов обойдётся дорого и в большинстве случаев экономически не оправдано.
