Rafael Devers was hitting .291/.337/.544 (144 wRC+) in 86 plate appearances this month before today's game. He adds an RBI double to score Casey Schmitt and give the #SFGiants a 2-1 lead. The lineup has been slumping, but Devers has gotten it going at the plate.

I think Tony Vitello and the Giants brass “part ways” at the end of the year and he returns to Tennessee. This thing isn’t his fault, but I seriously wonder what is going through his head. He had the best job in the world and came to be a scapegoat for this dumpster fire.

I did like Tony Vitello's decision to go with Keaton Winn in the 7th inning, even if he might have left Landen Roupp in for a batter or two too long. Winn has been their best reliever, and that was a tight spot. If you are trying to save him for later in the game...
