@RedWavePress The biggest thing here is the fact he never outright asked them to join in attacking Iran. He asked them to secure their interests in the region. Help with ship escorts and mine detection. Heck they were not even protecting their own bases.

MOMENTS AGO: President Trump on Truth Social: “The United States has been informed by most of our NATO ‘Allies’ that they don’t want to get involved with our Military Operation against the Terrorist Regime of Iran, in the Middle East, this, despite the fact that almost every Country strongly agreed with what we are doing, and that Iran cannot, in any way, shape, or form, be allowed to have a Nuclear Weapon.” “I am not surprised by their action, however, because I always considered NATO, where we spend Hundreds of Billions of Dollars per year protecting these same Countries, to be a one way street — We will protect them, but they will do nothing for us, in particular, in a time of need. Fortunately, we have decimated Iran’s Military — Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti-Aircraft and Radar is gone and perhaps, most importantly, their Leaders, at virtually every level, are gone, never to threaten us, our Middle Eastern Allies, or the World, again!” “Because of the fact that we have had such Military Success, we no longer ‘need,’ or desire, the NATO Countries’ assistance — WE NEVER DID! Likewise, Japan, Australia, or South Korea. In fact, speaking as President of the United States of America, by far the Most Powerful Country Anywhere in the World, WE DO NOT NEED THE HELP OF ANYONE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP”

A lot of people talk about the WWII mass production miracle. “I’m going to talk about WWI— when the US failed to deploy even a single US-designed fighter to the front.” Palantir’s @Madeline_Zimm, co-author of Mobilize with @ssankar, on lessons from WWI’s failures: “Money was not enough.” “We entered the war late, but when we tried to do a mass production push of mainly foreign designs, we were unable to do it because the aircraft at that time were literally— craft. They were made of wood and fabric.” “Where are the parallel to today? Our missiles are more like a craft, boutique industry and haven’t been designed for mass production.” “If we want to mass produce them, money is not going to be enough.” “We need to totally reimagine how we design and produce these things, and the most productive companies need to produce.” Via @ReaganInstitute

Trade: the Raiders are sending QB Geno Smith and a 2026 7th-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for a 2026 6th-round pick, per ESPN sources. Smith returns to the team for which he started his NFL career for in 2013.

@RepThomasMassie No matter what it was going to hurt in some way dealing with Iran and the miscalculations made in the past. I rather it be this way then what could have happened if they achieved their goals.

The price of gas has gone up $0.47 and the price of diesel has gone up $0.83 in 10 days due to War with Iran. and waging war costs American taxpayers about $1 billion per day, which comes out to $10 per family per day, or $100 since the war began. This isn’t America First.

Imagine a state where you can get charged with a hate crime for speech that disagrees with the left. And your elected sheriff can be removed because he speaks out against them. And the AG’s office can bypass courts to arrest you. And two unelected radical Washington state boards control it all.

@CNN When you report on likeliness and the fact that it sounds like the whole thing is from years ago. You are a foreign propaganda machine that hates the US. This is the worst reporting I have seen in a long time.

The US military was likely responsible for the strike on an elementary school in southern Iran that killed scores of children, the deadliest incident of civilian casualties in the US and Israel's almost week-long war with Iran, according to CNN and expert analysis of evidence. cnn.it/4lhdAx9

I’ve been vocal about the need for WSU Board of Regents to step up and fund our athletic department at the top level of our new conference. I just got word that this is now a reality. Thanks WSU BOR for doing what needs to be done for the benefit of all of WSU! Go Cougs!

@PhilipReichert It’s wild people thinking the US is over committing to anything and Iran is going to slow it down. Does anyone know how many fronts the US can legit fight from? Not only that but a lot of what is being done is not done with the military.

People are getting lost in the weeds on foreign policy. Step back and look at the full picture. This administration is 1) building control over our own hemisphere. Venezuela is ours, Cuba reportedly next, more to come absolutely. 2) It has pressured Europe to contribute meaningfully for the first time in recent memory. 3) It has united the Middle East against Iran and is dismantling the regime systematically. 4) Russia is weaker for its foray into Ukraine, and Ukraine remains independent. 5) China (our primary adversary btw) is hurt by all of it no matter what cope you see on the timeline. This is a genuinely historic reassertion of American interests, and it’s absolutely working no matter how critical you are of the president

The UK is fully committed to the security of Cyprus and British military personnel based there. We’re continuing our defensive operations and I've just spoken with the President of Cyprus to let him know that we are sending helicopters with counter drone capabilities and HMS Dragon is to be deployed to the region. We will always act in the interest of the UK and our allies.

I can't take the gaslighting, guys. I really can't. Conservatives are now running around saying "Iran has been waging war on us for 47 years." Okay then why didn't any of you call for an attack on Iran at any point until now? Why didn't you make a case for Trump "ending the war, not starting it" until precisely the moment when Trump did it? You and I both know that you are latching onto a talking point you never used until 45 seconds ago. You and I both know that almost every conservative influencer in the business was opposed to war with Iran until just now. And now you're trying to use justifications that stretch back decades. It doesn't make any sense. If you changed your mind, fine. Say so. Explain why. You're allowed to change your mind. I've changed my mind about things. But don't try to rewrite history. Be honest about it. There's too much at stake to play these games.

@WarMonitorINTL One answer. Coordination! With allies and with the US and Israel. Because right now with an active military mission going they control everything in the region. Already been friendly fire happening. Don’t need any more of that.
