@EdmondDantes251 @LB3Truther @NFL_DovKleiman No one was talking about the 49ers. Discussing the Bears DB coach. But cute change the subject when you know you’re wrong.
English

@Bearsin2025 @LB3Truther @NFL_DovKleiman Youre talking to a 49ers fan about injuries? Cute. Go worry about your 3rd place team.

English

@EdmondDantes251 @LB3Truther @NFL_DovKleiman You do know their 2 best CB’s, a top 5 CB and a top 5 slot CB, were hurt and missed most of the year.
English

@LB3Truther @NFL_DovKleiman If youre gonna say best db coach your db's should be oh I dunno top 15 at least? All I did was speak logic. Thats like saying Lebron is the goat. The goat of what? Losing the most finals? Lmao.

@TheBearsTalk He’s an option but not the only option. You’d have to give him a new deal and invest more big $ in the DL. They could because they have a few DL off the books next year. My guess though is they sign a FA vet to a 1 year deal

2026 NFL Draft May Force Chicago Bears Into Kayvon Thibodeaux Trade dlvr.it/TSDLFX
English

@TheChicagoPope @jacobinfante24 Agree. I think we might sign a vet DE and Turner will be at DT
English

@jacobinfante24 I bet Hippolite gets replaced with a 6th WR and Kentavius is replaced by a veteran signing but this feels close.
English

@ConnorJRogers @Z_tyrannosaurus Is was today years old when I realized Safeway is just the mid-Atlantic Acme

English

@kfishbain Elliott. He’ll be starting at MLB or SLB by next year at latest. Good athlete with good instincts against the run, good tackler and blitzer, team leader/great teammate type, who just needs to develop in pass coverage. Has the athleticism to do it. Basically a faster Edwards
English

@danwiederer I like the players and am sure Ben has a plan for all the guys on O. Just would’ve liked the DL addressed earlier. Hopefully they add 1 or 2 of the available vets or make a trade
English

@Chicago_NFL We don’t have a 1st after the late season Maxx Crosby trade for the playoff run 😏
English

You really think the Bears are drafting a DE?

The PFSN NFL Mock Draft Simulator has already been UPDATED with the 2027 draft class 🔥
English

@DJonerson2005 @jacobinfante24 Yes but those few weeks will be glorious
English

@jacobinfante24 And we’ll never hear of him again after week 2 of the preseason
English

@Chicago_NFL Pretty much my feelings. I like the players but would’ve like a DT at the 3rd or 4th pick. That being said I don’t doubt Ben will make good use of Roush and Thomas
English

Really solid day three for the Chicago Bears. Overall draft grade:
B-
Dillon Thieneman A+
Logan Jones A-
Sam Roush D+
Zavion Thomas D-
Malik Muhammad B+
Keyshaun Elliott B-
Jordan van den Berg B+

@dabearsblog Love the nickname of the Wyoming OL….the vanilla gorilla

@TampaBayTre You guys were awesome. Loved how Leftko was introduced to the sayings and the addicts comments. Most enjoyable 2 days of draft coverage I can remember

OK, let's go through this.
Of course there is no master board shared among all 32 teams in which they have all agreed to the ranking of drafted players. If there was, what would be the point of a draft?
NFL teams are all operating - to a degree - in the dark when it comes to how other teams rank the draft class.
The Consensus Board refers to, effectively, a composite of a variety of publicly available big boards. There are multiple variations of it, due to how many and which big boards are included, but they are all broadly the same.
They serve effectively as a 'wisdom of the crowds' big board. Is the 'consensus' element a misnomer? Maybe. But who cares.
The point about the consensus board is that people have run various studies on it and what happens when NFL teams deviate from it in a significant way in one direction or the other. And also how it performs vs NFL teams who obviously have more information than Joe Public. The board tends to perform well despite that information shortcoming.
The most important takeaway is that the evidence is pretty strong that major reaches relative to the consensus board are bad.
The hit rate in the draft across pretty much anything is bad, so all anybody is trying to do with any piece of information is increase the hit rate, move the percentage in your direction. Reaches relative to the consensus board move the percentages in the opposite direction. They make it LESS likely you will draft a good player than if you had just blindly taken a guy expected to go around where your draft pick was.
You CAN hit on a reach, but it is statistically less likely. You are, by definition, chasing an outlier or longshot, and that tends not to go well.
AngryScoutVet@NotSoAngryScout
Show it to me. We don’t have a consensus board in our war room. We have our team board. Are you referring to NFS and BLESTO? Those are 1 opinion of an entry level scout. They are not a consensus for us. There might be consensus media rankings but we don’t go by it.
English

@heffer8228 @PingKaiden @HGrahamNFL And you also can move up or back. They could’ve moved up in the 2nd to get an edge. There were penetrating 3T’s at their later 3rd round pick that they ignored to take a gadget player.
English

@CFCBears I like TJ Edwards but if he struggles coming back from injury or looks as slow as he did last year this kid could replace him this season. He’s a faster version. With way better instincts than Hyppolite. Love the day 3 picks so far
English

I watched Keyshaun Elliott after I saw this from Jon. Finished as his LB5 in the same tier as Jacob Rodriguez and CJ Allen (Good starter tier). Great pick
Jon Ledyard@LedyardNFLDraft
Keyshaun Elliott is the pretty clear no. 4 linebacker in the class for me. After the big 3, he'd be the guy I target. An absolute monster against the run, capable in coverage, upside as a blitzer, flat/screen destroyer flashes. Really good football player
English

@CSleeve16374 Yup faster version of Edwards. Will probably be his replacement in a year or 2. LB room is way deeper with Sewell, Sanborn, Elliott and Hyppo backing up. Should make ST’s better too
English

I like this addition in the LB Room.
6’2 230. Athletic. Should be an immediate asset on special teams.

English

@heffer8228 @PingKaiden @HGrahamNFL But it’s not even close to solid. It’s a bottom tier DL in the league. Like bottom 5. Got to at least be solid to good to win big
English

@Bearsin2025 @PingKaiden @HGrahamNFL You can close out games on offense. We have some decent DE ends. Yes in theory you want a strong DE and OL but not everywhere can be elite
