@TheChicagoPope @ChiSoxFanMike What BMW are we talking about here. He was baseball’s worst defensive catcher (or close to it) in 2025 and had a 95 wRC+. -0.2 WAR. I’m not saying he’ll never be good but he has to improve several facets of his game — significantly — to get there. Teel’s the BMW.

He was a pickoff artist, called great games, put up 1.2 WAR, and hit .270 while being forced to sit every other day. I think any GM worth their salt sees Quero as much more than a projection.

@jacobinfante24 They got younger & faster at FS + LB. They got healthy at DL. Ben & Caleb will both improve. And they proved last year they can draft and develop. Calling it a "wash" is so shortsighted. They're better now than they were last year and they haven't even drafted yet.

Comparing what they’ve added and what they lost, I’d consider this offseason to be a wash for the #Bears. I don’t think they’re considerably better. That said, they have the draft and a ton of young players who should continue to grow. I trust this team and the coaching staff.
