Hello again. We’re currently in Clemson, South Carolina. I’ve decided to come back here to document the final part of our road trip. The main reason I deactivated my account two weeks ago was that things became increasingly toxic. For some people, it’s unfortunately unfathomable that a good story can exist without some kind of hidden agenda behind it. There was even a Reddit group going through my entire account trying to find anything they could use to reveal my identity. I know this was only a small percentage of people, but after a while it became exhausting. During the last two weeks, I received so many kind messages on Instagram, and they really made me realize how many people genuinely enjoyed following the trip. Some people even told me that their grandparents regularly ask them, “What are the Germans up to today?” I think that’s really cool. I decided to continue because I realized that the overwhelming majority of people loved following along. A small group of very loud people shouldn’t be able to ruin something that brought so many others joy. I also want to clear something up, as people who follow me on Instagram already know. I’ve been to the United States before. This is not my first visit, and I’ve never claimed that it was. The last time I was here was in January 2022, when I visited New York and Philadelphia. A lot of people shared my Raising Cane’s post from November 2025 to make it look like I was secretly American. That post wasn’t from the United States, it was from my trip to Saudi Arabia. This is my first time back in the U.S. in more than four years, and apart from Boston, I’d never visited any of the places we’ve been to on this trip before. That’s probably why many people assumed it was our first time in America, because for all of these places, it actually was. 🚨#BREAKING: An off-duty firefighter is being hailed as a hero after he rescued TWO CHILDREN FROM A TEXAS LAKE WITH NO PULSE... ...PERFORMED CPR ON THEM AND BROUGHT THEM BOTH BACK TO LIFE ON TOP OF THEIR CAPSIZED BOAT!!!!! His name is Jason Horne. He was on Alvarado Lake celebrating the 4th with his 12-year-old daughter Emilie when people started screaming and waving them down. A boat carrying NINE people had flipped and THREE children were trapped underneath it. Jason immediately dove in to rescue them. Under that boat, he found a little boy, he saved him, and then dove back in. He felt a foot, it was a little girl and Jason tore her loose and brought her back, but she did not have a pulse. He dragged her ON TOP OF THE CAPSIZED BOAT and performed CPR until she began breathing again. He and others then flipped the boat and found a little boy with anchor rope WRAPPED AROUND HIS BODY. The boy also did not have a pulse, he performed CPR on the boy until he got a pulse. Astonishingly, ALL THREE KIDS SURVIVED!!!! Every single one went home to their families. His department said it best: "When others needed help most, Jason did what firefighters do. He stepped up without hesitation." A 12-year-old girl sat in that boat and watched her father dive into a lake and come back up carrying other people's children. She will spend the rest of her life knowing EXACTLY what a hero looks like. He looks like her dad. GOD BLESS JASON HORNE!!!!!!!🇺🇸

Tobias "Toby" Forsythe was just 21, a star goalie for the UMass Lowell soccer team with his whole life ahead of him. On Sunday, his life was stolen. A massive semi-truck driven by Bekhzod Asrarov rammed the back of Toby’s car on I-71 in Madison County, Ohio, killing him instantly. At the crash scene, the truck driver ripped out his dash cam and hid it in his pocket. He failed his English language proficiency test and state troopers had to use Google Translate to talk to him. We cannot let truckers like Asrarov, who can't read our road signs or speak to law enforcement, drive 80,000-pound rigs on America’s highways. I am praying for Toby's family and loved ones after this horrible loss. We will never stop fighting to keep these dangerous truck drivers OFF THE ROAD so no other parents have to endure this unimaginable grief.

We’re leaving today after 5 days. I spent my youth in this city. I’ve never seen it as calm or as lovely. We walked around everywhere in complete comfort. I expressed shock often as we peacefully strolled my old stomping grounds. This place hasn’t looked this great in decades. George’s TDS is melting his brain.

I was in the Oval Office today for the launch of the Invest America / Trump Accounts initiative. Here are my takeaways: 1. This program may have the most bipartisan support of anything I have ever seen. Everyone, regardless of political party, understands the power of giving young children money to compound over decades. 2. While the government and current administration should get immense credit for the program, there were many private citizens like @altcap, @MichaelDell and others that persistently pursued the idea until it became reality. They quite literally changed the course of millions of lives with this idea. 3. It will quickly become a game of status for people to donate to fund the accounts. The Dell Family gave over $6 billion. SpaceX’s @Gwynne_Shotwell gave more than $300 million today. Brad Gerstner is adopting every child in the state of Indiana to give money to their accounts. The list goes on and on already… 4. Companies will begin making contributions core parts of their perk packages for employees. Corporations like Bank of America, JPMorgan, Robinhood and others have already announced these efforts. 5. The Oval Office is surprisingly small in size, but the historical significance of the room is palpable the second you walk into it. The President called it “the most important room in the world” today and I walked away thinking that was accurate. 6. This idea of Invest America accounts has become a magnet for the world’s most successful people. I saw Larry Fink, David Solomon, Lisa Su, and many other Fortune 500 CEOs in attendance for the Rose Garden lunch. It is hard for an idea to fail when this many people are behind it. 7. The Rose Garden was very nicely done. I had been to the White House before, but never to the Oval Office or the Rose Garden. Both seemed elevated compared to the rest of the White House and surrounding buildings. It sounds like the new ballroom will also be a modern structure that mirrors this elevated approach. 8. The staff and admin team in the White House are generous and genuine. Each person was kind, gracious, and seemed to be at the top of their game. Sometimes you go to places and are disappointed with the let down from your expectations, but this was not the case with the White House team. All professionals doing their job. 9. The media loves Trump way more than they let on publicly. Many of the mainstream hosts and anchors were joking around with him like it is one big club, while simultaneously laughing at his jokes and being much more friendly than I expected. He seems to be good for their business, so it makes sense why the public narrative and private interactions don’t appear to match. 10. I never thought I would see a day where @NYSE and @Nasdaq collaborated on an event like this, including the ringing of both bells by one person at the same time. I guess anything is possible if kids are involved. Overall, this was an awesome experience. I know some people like this administration and some people don’t. I learned from @kevinolearytv to focus on policies, not politicians. And the Invest America accounts are objectively a great idea that will hopefully spread like wildfire in the years to come.

Excellent news: Following my questioning of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about Taxpayer Assistance Center (TAC) closures in Maine at a recent Appropriations Committee hearing, the Department announced that the centers in Augusta and Bangor will reopen today. This announcement is welcome news for Mainers who rely on this assistance to navigate our tax system. Reopening the TACs in Augusta and Bangor will make an enormous difference for our seniors, rural residents, and other Mainers who should not have to travel hundreds of miles to South Portland simply to get in-person help from the IRS. I appreciate Secretary Bessent’s responsiveness to my concerns and will continue working to better ensure that Mainers have access to the federal services they need and deserve.
