Struck by how supine so much coverage of the Royal Family continues to be, even now. “Business as usual” is the line I keep hearing. No, it really isn’t. And it shouldn’t be.

It remains stunning, that throughout all of this, the Royal Family have never confirmed who exactly paid for the payoff nor why, exactly, they stripped Andrew of his titles. Parliament hasn’t thought to ask either.

Spotted in a mainstream UK card shop - Card Factory - this week. Not a niche retailer. Just an everyday high street business selling a card celebrating “transitioning” as uncomplicated empowerment. Another example of how easily commercial spaces slide into ideological messaging - often without fully considering how it might land with a broad customer base. Many of whom - like me - would simply like to buy a greetings card, a bath bomb or some bedding plants, without being drawn into gender identity politics.

Given the Met Police have demonstrated this very weekend they can in fact ban protests if they choose there is no reasonable reason why this one was allowed to go ahead. There’s no way anyone visibly Jewish would have been safe anywhere near this crowd.
