@LM_Entry @historyinmemes You are not the one who determines what the genders represent. Also you're a fucking moron so no use wasting more time here.

“I don’t think Matt Damon is worried” - this is probably true… and also completely irrelevant We’re talking about what the genders represent, not individual benchpress maxes You don’t really think it’s “Mickey Mouse” - you’re just loyal to the ideology which regards gender-bent stuntladies as morally optimal

Matt Damon revealed that his stunt double in The Odyssey was a woman. “My double was a woman, a female stunt performer who had the greatest arms I've ever seen. When she came into the catering tent, it was the first time I met her. I went up and hugged her and thanked her for all the work she put in.” The Odyssey has made a huge impact at the box office, reportedly earning $264 million worldwide during its opening weekend, making it one of the strongest debuts of Christopher Nolan’s career. Adjusted for inflation, it ranks as Nolan’s biggest opening since The Dark Knight Rises. The success highlights the continued demand for ambitious, original filmmaking, especially when a filmmaker like Nolan brings a legendary story to the largest possible cinematic experience.

@LM_Entry @historyinmemes Physical strength means literally nothing in this context, and I don't think Matt Damon is too worried considering I've seen one total comment saying some Mickey mouse bullshit like this.

@LM_Entry @historyinmemes And this woman in particular, weaker or not, has the credentials to be his stunt double. Stunt doubles are also designed to not really be seen in any distinguishable way, so how does that make him look weaker? You must be stuck in the 60s or something with that line of thinking.

I said a while ago that the moment I realized assassin’s Creed had gone off the rails is during assassins Creed Valhalla and I accidentally killed a civilian. And the game said that if I kept killing civilians I would get a game over (it’s called desynchronization in the game). And I’m like “ what the actual f—k? I’m playing as a Viking. Killing civilians is what they do!” And if they don’t want your character killing civilians then don’t make us play as a Viking! It was nuts Now apparently pirates were enlightened. They recognized that it’s not appropriate to have a statue of a naked woman on the bow of their ship. Sigh Vikings and Pirates were bad people. They made games centered around playing bad people but they don’t let them be bad. It’s complete idiocy
LearningTheLaw ✝️@Mangalawyer

Ubisoft not only censored Anne Bonny's cleavage in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, but also took the time to censor female statues. That tells you exactly where their priorities are. The world is safer now. Fictional sexism has been defeated

Texans: “it's just down the road.” Texas is so large that, when its outline is placed over Europe as shown, it stretches across all or part of roughly 10 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czechia, Slovenia, and Croatia. At nearly 696,000 km² (268,600 sq mi), it is the second-largest U.S. state after Alaska. Driving across it from El Paso to Beaumont takes about 1,350 km (840 miles) and typically 12–13 hours. Even travel between its three largest metro areas—Dallas, Austin, and Houston—takes around 5½ to 6½ hours and covers about 580 km (360 miles). As a result, long-distance driving is routine, and many Texans regularly spend several hours on the road for work, sports, or even a good barbecue.

In 1992, Annette Herfken was convinced by her partner of 13 years to accompany him on a romantic getaway, a decision he could never have imagined would end in tragedy. Merely fifty minutes into their flight to Vietnam, the plane crashed into a mountainous area. Annette awoke to darkness, surrounded by the sounds of panic and distress. Trapped under the weight of a deceased passenger still buckled into his seat, the chaotic and noisy aftermath of the crash eventually gave way to an eerie silence as she realized she was the sole survivor. She was left alone with decomposing bodies until the 8th day when rescuers came, before then she battled the thoughts of cannibalizing the bodies around her to survive. A woman was found dead, wedged upside-down behind a bookcase in the home she shared with her family, after relatives spent nearly two weeks searching for her. Weber, 38, came home on Oct. 28, greeted her mother, and then seemed to disappear. Her family feared she had been kidnapped and called police. They searched her bedroom for days but found no sign of her, though they noticed an unusual smell. Late one night, Weber’s sister looked behind a bookcase and saw a foot. With a flashlight, the family realized Weber was trapped upside-down in the narrow space behind the furniture. Her family believes she may have fallen headfirst while trying to reach a television plug, as she was small in stature, about 5-foot-3 and around 100 pounds. Users have reportedly found the GTA 6 hot cover girl in real life. She is Gabriela Chiquin, a DJ, artist, and producer. Fans have pointed out a strong visual resemblance between her and the cover girl. This is only a rumor due to the similarities and is not confirmed at all, based on photos from her insta, Rockstar has not confirmed any connection to a real-life individual for the cover design.

In 2014, 23-year-old Ashley Gabrielle Huff was arrested after an officer allegedly mistook dried SpaghettiO’s residue on a spoon in her car for methamphetamine. She ended up spending a month in jail. During that time, Huff missed her child’s birthday and lost her job at Waffle House. She was later released when a crime lab test confirmed the spoon contained only sauce residue, not drugs. “OK” originated in 1830s America as a joke abbreviation for the misspelled phrase “oll korrect.” It gained national attention during Martin Van Buren’s 1840 presidential campaign and eventually became one of the most widely used words in the world. One of the world’s most common words started as a joke. In 1839, Boston newspapers popularized a trend of humorous misspelled abbreviations, and “OK” emerged from “oll korrect,” a playful spelling of “all correct.” While most of these expressions quickly faded, OK endured. Its popularity grew further during the 1840 presidential campaign of Martin Van Buren, whose supporters formed “OK Clubs” that referenced both the abbreviation and his nickname, “Old Kinderhook,” taken from his hometown in New York. Today, OK is recognized around the globe and remains one of the most universally understood words in any language.

Japan’s most wanted man once gave himself plastic surgery using box cutters and scissors to evade police after k*lling a British teacher. A British teacher lay buried in a sand-filled balcony bathtub while her k*ller slipped past nine police officers into the Japanese night. To stay hidden, he would spend the next two years using scissors, needles, and box cutters to carve a completely new face onto his own skull. In March 2007, authorities arrived at the apartment of 28-year-old Tatsuya Ichihashi to investigate the disappearance of 22-year-old Lindsay Ann Hawker. Ichihashi panicked and bolted past the officers barefoot, successfully escaping into the city. Inside his apartment, police discovered Hawker's body bound and buried in a bathtub filled with sand and soil on his balcony, triggering a massive nationwide manhunt. To evade capture, Ichihashi began a gruesome process of DIY plastic surgery in public restrooms and cheap hotels. As he later detailed in his prison memoir, Until the Arrest, he used a needle and thread to tie his nose cartilage into a narrower shape, sliced away pieces of his lower lip with scissors, and used a utility knife to gouge out two identifying moles from his cheek. He hid his heavily scarred face behind standard surgical masks to blend into the public. Eventually, Ichihashi worked under a pseudonym as a construction laborer to save money for professional cosmetic procedures, including a nose bridge lift and double eyelid surgery. His run ended when alert staff at a clinic in Nagoya noticed his suspicious facial scarring and notified the police. Ichihashi was captured at an Osaka ferry terminal in November 2009 and is currently serving a life sentence for r*pe and m*rder.

@historyinmemes If you read your Bible you would know that Satan can not be forgiven , Satan hates God and hates humans ,God's creation so what would be the point of praying for Satan if he wants to drag me to hell with him and he has already been judged and condemned?

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most? - Mark Twain The line is less about literally defending Satan and more about criticizing humanity’s habit of limiting compassion to people considered deserving of it. Mark Twain frequently explored the idea that real morality is revealed by whether people can extend empathy even to those who are hated, condemned, or seen as beyond redemption. The quote is powerful because it turns conventional religious thinking on its head: if compassion is truly universal, should it not also reach the ultimate outcast? It also reflects Twain’s darker later years, when he grew increasingly cynical about human nature, war, imperialism, and what he viewed as religious hypocrisy.

Mark Zuckerberg engineered a custom hardware device for his wife in 2019. No clock face. One faint light. A one-hour window. Priscilla had a specific problem. She'd wake up in the middle of the night, check her phone for the time, and the number itself spiked her anxiety. 4am meant worry about the kids waking soon. 5:30 meant calculating whether to just get up. The information was the trigger. Most engineers approach "can't sleep" by adding things to the bedroom. A meditation app. A Hatch alarm. A weighted blanket. A sleep coach. Mark removed the variable that was running the wake-up loop. The Sleep Box sits on Priscilla's nightstand and shows nothing for 23 hours a day. Between 6am and 7am it emits a single faint light. Faint enough not to wake her if she's still asleep. Visible enough that if she's already up, she knows it's okay to start the day. The rest of the night, dark. No clock. No time display. If she wakes at 3am she has no data to push her cortisol up with, so she goes back to sleep. He wrote the firmware and built the enclosure himself. No team, no procurement, no Meta resources. He posted the result on Instagram and said it worked better than he expected. The design move most CEOs would never run is the personal one. The instinct is to outsource a family problem to a specialist. A sleep coach. A doctor. A consumer electronics startup with a Series B and a marketing budget. Mark intervened at a specific link in the chain. Time data hitting Priscilla's brain at 3am was what broke sleep. The phone got moved off the nightstand and replaced with a box that physically cannot deliver that data. The box has no clock. That's the entire product.
