@Lewchube And this is why it’s a good thing that WiWa is not coming this year 😭 and yet so many people online are trying to say the longer development cycle is bad 💀

@WWEdeadman @JoeMerrick Yes that’s what Nintendo is charging for Flagship for Physical in Europe. But the confusing part is that some accounts are trying to imply that they will sell WiWa for 80 USD in US, when those same Nintendo games priced at 80 Euros were priced 70 USD in the US.

@JoeMerrick "in no way indicative" Pretty sure they're not gonna be significantly less. Look at what Nintendo is charging for their other flagship series.

@rawrdom @JoeMerrick We don’t have an instance of a proper full premier title yet and it’s pricing under the new strategy. Yoshi, Splatoon and Starfox are all being positioned as Budget price. Once Nintendo starts to price premier titles then we can properly ascertain the pattern.

@JoeMerrick Sounds like you're coming up with abritary rules just to not accept this - but we have more than 4 NS2 editions that have launched at a consistent $ to € ratio, thanks to them not enacting the Digital/Physical price split on those - all of which are full price

This is a good point actually. Vast majority of first party Switch 2 games in Europe retail at €80 while in the US they're $70. Various people online (such as Centro) have been doing direct $ = € conversion when that hasn't actually been the case
Tobi@TobiYume

@JoeMerrick people just see the number and not the currency symbol and immediately assume it will be 80$, when every switch 2 first party game (except mario kart) before Yoshi has been 80€ for the physical version in germany, so amazon just assumed it would be the same for gen 10

@Niarval @Sunne_Three Yes good point! I was just talking about the recommended retail price but seems like many stores sell below it.

@CentroLeaks Not sure the obsession with engagement baiting. No one knows how NoA will price premier titles under the new pricing strategy. You could’ve framed the tweet with more uncertainty about US pricing instead of implying like it’s basically 80.

Pokémon Winds & Waves pre-orders are now open in Amazon Germany. The games will cost physically €79.99 according to the store. If accurate that would also mean $79.99 in the US.

@CentroLeaks You’re spreading information without even having any concrete details of how Nintendo is pricing Flagship titles. Just because NOA matched pricing with NoE for budget games. Does not indicate how they’ll price for big games. Wait until OOT remake’s price before you doom 💀

@CentroLeaks I said Flagship Nintendo games NOT budget priced . You are saying that 80 Euros Physical would imply 80 USD, when most 80 EURO physical games were priced 70 USD in the US. Yoshi, Splatoon and Starfox are not being priced as Flagship. So yes you should correct

@NerdiestNic @NontendoPodcast This is the same price for all flagship Nintendo games in Europe. The physical 10 Euros more as well. For example age of Imprisonment is 70 Euros Digital and 80 Euros Digital. Same with DK Bananza. MKW is 90 Euros Physical and 80 Euros Digital.

@Sunne_Three Also Nintendo prices the games in Europe. They are the publisher of the game around the word except for Japan, where TPC publishes. GF would have no say in pricing here

@CentroLeaks However you need to remember that the 80 dollar games in the US are 90 dollars physically in Europe as physical games cost 10 Euros more. For example MKW is 90 Euros physical.

@jo5ack @ZikadaPrime Depends on the scope and who’s developing it as well as the direction OOT remake goes. Be user a classic remake may please OG Zelda fans, but they’re so many new Zelda fans, especially in Japan, that only know the Wild era games. To them Zelda may be a sandbox

@stonecoldmirac1 @Stealth40k Also Bandai Namco uses UE to develop games, and this looks like it could’ve have been developed on UE.

@Stealth40k Bandai Namco had a job listing for a game that sounds very similar to Star Fox a few years back, so that's my guess. It's hard to imagine any Nintendo EPD studio busting out super realistic visuals like this, off the top of my head?

I've seen a lot of speculation about what team is working on Star Fox and I'll go out on a limb and predict that it isn't Nintendo EPD. We probably won't find out officially until Nintendo releases an "Ask the Developer" interview.

@JazzyNotJizzy @soulsilverart Keep in mind that Nintendo is the SOLE owner of the Pokemon Trademark outside of Japan. Why is why on the back of every Pokemon product outside Japan you see “Pokemon is a TM of Nintendo”.

@JazzyNotJizzy @soulsilverart And we know from the Tera leak that Nintendo wanted Legends ZA to be internally delayed because they wanted to release it with the Switch 2. Nintendo doesn’t need to call out Pokemon because they already have an entire company made for that (2/2)

@JazzyNotJizzy @soulsilverart Because the purpose of that tweet was to highlight franchises fully marketed by Nintendo LOL and shocker TPC handles marketing. Nintendo literally highlighted both ZA and Pokopia and credited Pokopia for hardware sales in there latest investors meeting. 1/2)
