The delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf and includes FM Araghchi, three Supreme National Security Council members, the Central Bank governor, three Deputy Foreign Ministers, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, members of parliament, and the president of Iran's National Defense University.
Two names stand out: Ali Bagheri Kani, deputy of the SNSC, who has deep experience in nuclear negotiations, and Mohammad Nabavian, one of the most hardline conservative MPs in the Iranian parliament.
Having Nabavian at the table means the deal needs to satisfy even the most hawkish voices in Tehran.
If he signs off, nobody back home can credibly oppose it.
The Central Bank governor being there tells you sanctions relief will be negotiated in real time, not deferred to a later phase.
There's also a security dimension nobody is talking about.
