Popped into @NethergateBrew for a quick Stour Valley Gold, and stumbled upon an Oktoberfest going on 🍻Some great beers, both German and British, including Ayinger Celebrator, and @Skinnersbrewery Cornish Knocker that we couldn’t even find on draft in Cornwall this year!

@robsterowski In the Czech Republic it’s an annual tradition to brew green beers to celebrate the end of winter and welcome in the summer! It’s green from natural ingredients (well the one from this brewery is)

Good recommendation - the Kutnohorská Zlatá 12 and Jarošovská Matúš 12° in particular are superb

@RandomlyLondon @danbarker I walked through it the other day and it was totally empty, all the trees have gone - I thought I was in the wrong place! I always go there when in London. Such a shame. Where did the elephant go?!

It’s looking lovely and festive at the Dog and Duck in Linton, Cambs. Nice GK Fireside too by the fire!

Just visited the Axe and Compasses in Arkesden, near Saffron Walden, for the first time since it was rebuilt after a terrible fire in 2022. What a beautiful pub. Lovely Greek food too. We’ll be back!

A customer at @cambeerfest tried the Redwillow Breakfast Stout and the Poppyland Black Poppy, decided he liked elements of both and asked if I could blend them together. And who am I to argue with a customer? He loved the result. I’m calling it Breakfast Poppy! ☕️🌺 #cbf2024
