I have found an interesting connection between $SIVE and $NVDA $NVDA is actively testing TFLN technology from a company called HyperLight, which uses UMC as its foundry HyperLight and UMC are working with $JBL, one of $NVDA main suppliers for large-scale assembly and integration of optical modules The key takeaway here is that $SIVE is the exclusive laser supplier for $JBL integrating its solutions into LRO transceiver modules Furthermore, it is highly likely that $SIVE also supplies the InP laser engine in this supply chain As a result, $NVDA is evaluating HyperLight’s TFLN while simultaneously gaining additional exposure to $SIVE from another angle of its supplier ecosystem This is an indirect but rock-solid link in the high performance optics space A critical segment for the growth of AI and data centers This significantly reinforces the upside potential for $SIVE

I’m actually even more bullish on $AAOI at $13B MC given all the recent laser bottlenecks… Than I was back at $2B or $6B. I also think markets missed the analyst note around potential long term supply agreements with $NVDA or $AMD. If they’re projecting $471M in H1 2027… that’s absurd ramp. But of course the $600M ATM is a short term overhang. Just a matter of waiting time? Given it’s more about keeping up with demand… So more of a matter of how much they can make. Probably my favorite US-based photonics long stock now that I own.

So here's my thinking: The obvious one: Vanguard S&P 500 and Vanguard FTSE All-World are essentially the same fund. The S&P 500 makes up 65% of All-World. Holding both is a bias towards being bullish on the US. Which I am. But is it pointless? My JPMorgan Nasdaq fund's top 10 holdings? Identical to the top 10 of my S&P 500. Apple. Microsoft. Nvidia. Amazon. Alphabet. Three funds. Same stocks. Different labels. But JEQP is capped upside - that's the trade off for income (I'm fine with this). The Nvidia problem: Nvidia appears in at least 5 of my funds. → JPM Nasdaq → Vanguard S&P 500 → Vanguard All-World → VanEck Semiconductor → VanEck Quantum Computing I didn't choose to have a 5% Nvidia position. It just crept in. What I'm thinking of doing about it: Scrapping the S&P 500 entirely. Boosting All-World to 12% - my only index fund now. Increasing JPM Nasdaq to 17% - it earns its place via covered call income. Redirecting the rest into funds with genuine zero overlap - Defense, Uranium, Gold. Every fund now has to do a job no other fund is doing. My S&P 500 is actually outperforming All-World (9.47% vs 7.75%) which makes me not want to hard to pull the trigger. But holding duplicates because one is up more recently is just performance chasing with extra steps? What do we think? Essentially I'm holding a lot of MAG7 through various funds and doubling up.

Saturday afternoons job is thus: Go through my entire portfolio and see where I am doubling up and what I can thin out. I shall let you know my findings.

There’s confidence. Then there’s conviction. You want conviction not just confidence if you want to handle yourself in any given moment. Conviction means you firmly exist and stay within your reality/frame no matter what. Nothing phases you because you have conviction in what you do/believe. Confidence on the other hand is just a state of being. And you do not need confidence to have conviction But they typically they go hand-in-hand I like to think of conviction as a transcendent version of confidence. But like I said you don’t need confidence to have convictions. You just need belief. Now you could argue that that’s confidence but I don’t think so.

The reason I don’t support bodybuilding as much as I used to back when I was in my late teens and early twenties is because I realized many years ago that it’s not about what you look like as a man, but far more about what you can do and what you can provide in some kind of service, deed, feeling, anything. It’s what are you made of, right? What’s within? And the thing with bodybuilding is this: if you don’t already have a body you’re proud of and confident in, which to be very honest is about one and a half to two years of strict dieting and training, then sure, it makes sense. I can speak from experience. I didn’t have that at all. I fucked around for many years, talking to friends, girls, stuff like that, not being too into it, or having a shitty diet because, again, friends and girls. So I would say five years of fucking around in the gym will get you to about 80-90% of your natural potential for a good physique. Once you hit that, my belief was: what am I fighting tooth and nail for? An inch of arm growth? Okay, fine. My 16-inch arms went to 17 inches after a full year of dedicated arm training, naturally. Now what? Is the goal 17.5? Is the goal more balanced triceps? Equal glute size? At that point it just becomes a pedantic, gay measuring contest. And for what? To look better only to the eye of an experienced bodybuilding man? To have zero difference (from 85% to 93% natty potential) in the real world with your clothes on? To have no difference in your selection of women, because after a certain point it doesn’t fucking matter? As long as you look presentable and good, which five years of fucking around in the gym will do for you, you're golden for the physique stat. So I’ve always realized that fighting for millimeters at such a high intensity and such a high energy cost is idiotic. To the point where you actually have to ask yourself why you’re doing it. And then you realize it’s a mental illness. You realize these people are coded with insecurities and deep-rooted issues that will most likely never be fixed, because they’re just piling on layers of muscle instead of unsheathing it all, unpacking the scar tissue within, and realizing what they’re actually doing. This coping through muscle, combined with all these really gay takes about which exercise matters more, or how if you don’t have a certain size at a certain bodyweight you’re gay, is just retarded. It’s incorrect. It’s completely delusional. It’s like a child who doesn’t want to grow up. Now, for the very few who genuinely want this as a hobby or a life passion, that’s fine. That’s totally cool. But that’s not the majority of people who go insane over their looks. And when someone does, you have to ask the question: why? Is it for girls? Because then you’re already going the wrong way. You passed the stop a long time ago. You already look good enough to get hot women. After a certain point, there is no return on investment for an even better physique. You just become maniacal about this autistic obsession instead of actually improving yourself in areas that have far more pull when it comes to getting and keeping women. Far more pull than going from the 85th percentile to the 90th percentile physically. There is almost no difference irl results. If it's for men, then you're entering gay territory. I can get aiming for the respect of men, but to a smart, level-headed man, if they see a dude autistically into bodybuilding, they'd have no other choice than to surmise he's mentally ill in some weird way. And the only people who disagree with me are either very young and inexperienced, or guys in their 40s who are the living example of the deeply insecure man who never figured it out and just packed on muscle to hide it. If you’re smart enough, you can extrapolate this to other areas of life and realize that the things you obsess over often reveal your biggest fears, either as an attempt to fix them, or as a way to coat them in success somewhere else.

@BonesawMD Truth. I spent 2 days going round every local business in my town attempting to educate them on how bitcoin could save them money on transaction fees. Almost all weren't interested, except the 60 year old cobbler I made friends with who's has skin in the game for years
