The legislature should consider strengthening laws and policies to address all forms of violence, ensuring both the boy child and the girl child are protected equally. Additionally, we must acknowledge that some individuals involved in such acts may be struggling with underlying mental health challenges, including depression. This calls for a measured response that combines enforcement of the law with increased awareness and support for mental health. As a society, we must promote mutual respect, accountability, and peaceful coexistence among all.

Yet some people are attacking other Africans doing legitimate business in the name of protecting their country, while White people who control most of the country’s economy and land live comfortably and are not being called out.
