Man, I’m really worried about consumers. Not everyone’s tech savvy enough to know this ad is completely AI, and they’re not actually showing the product they’re selling. AI ads are going to really take advantage of people.

Spencer Pratt is coherent and reasonable. If he becomes LA’s next mayor he will return that city to safety and greatness. Please watch the entire debate and judge for yourself.

A Faded Memory. Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant opened in 1924, founded by Danish immigrant Anton Andersen and his wife Juliette. Originally a small roadside stand along what became U.S. Route 101, it grew into one of the most well-known stops in California. During the Great Depression, the business struggled until Juliette added split pea soup to the menu. It was simple, affordable, and filling and it ended up saving the restaurant. From there, it became a destination. By the 1930s-1960s, this was a major stop for travelers between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Tour buses lined the parking lot, families planned trips around it, and the restaurant served hundreds of people daily. The location became known for more than just food. Danish-style architecture, a windmill, gift shops, and the mascots Hap-Pea and Pea-Wee made it a full roadside attraction. Billboards across California counted down the miles until you arrived. For decades, it remained busy and became part of California road trip culture. But as highways improved and travel became faster, fewer people stopped. Over time, the crowds declined. Today, the building still stands, but the activity that once filled it is gone. What was once a packed destination is now a decaying reminder of our great past.

@docMJP How did the Youtube numbers compare to a typical Blaze Show? Seems like it was getting a solid 17-20K a show.

I’ve seen a lot of you speculate about this over the last six months. It’s absolutely wild to me that Blaze just canceled the show and said nothing to you all. And since people are still talking about it half a year later, a few points: 1. Yes, it’s very likely that Congressman Mills tried to pressure Blaze behind my back. The FBI certainly did, but regarding other issues—at least, I have no specific knowledge of the FBI ever trying to kill the Mills stories. But I would be surprised if Mills himself didn’t try to exert pressure in multiple ways. That’s how he operates. 2. I think just before and/or after the first article came out Mills may have tried to call Glenn Beck and complain but to my (admittedly, thirdhand) knowledge this went nowhere. I have no specific knowledge that Mills or his proxies contacted Blaze execs or other company leaders, however, or that anything Mills did or said led in any way to the end of the show and myself and Jill’s departure. 3. It must be said that Blaze DID, in fact, publish the Cory Mills investigative series, although, sure, internally there was some discomfort with it. But put this in context: most right-leaning media outlets wouldn’t touch it at all. 4. If I ever HAD clear evidence that Mills did have something to do with my departure or the show suddenly ending, you can bet everything you own that I would do quite a bit with that information. And you would eventually know about it.
Jim@JimBicknell

@docMJP I will go to my grave thinking/knowing that Mills had something to do with the Mandate disappearing over night. I love the Blaze, but that was the biggest mistake they ever did, with Steve Baker a close second.

@mtracey I don't think there would have been outrage if she was still at the athletic but maybe there was concern about journalistic integrity to some high brow types.

I often say that Houston is the most misunderstood city in North America. Maybe more people are moving here because it’s getting better understood. It’s a pragmatic city, politically balanced, a center for innovation and has an extraordinary philanthropic community that supports great parks, first class museums and outstanding performing arts. And it has institutions that are constantly seeking to understand its problems and opportunities and the path to improvement, like the @RiceKinderInst and @GHPartnership. houston.innovationmap.com/houston-metro-…

Tucker Carlson has been in absolute free fall among the GOP. His net favorable has dropped by 47 points. Meanwhile, Trump crushes Tucker among the GOP. Trump's net favorable is 54 pts higher than Carlson's. When you up against Trump, you in the grinder to quote Good Burger.

The thing is, Iran as a people, history, and culture are vastly different from Iraq and Afghanistan. Americans, in their ignorance have no clue about this, and also don’t bother learning from the actual Iranian voices who are shouting this. Every war that takes place in the future is not Iraq simply by default, or because it takes place in the vicinity of the Middle East. We must take responsibility to educate ourselves outside of the podcast bro world and understand that we live in a complex global system, and just because we want to live in a utopian world of Never War doesn’t mean the evil actors are going to suddenly stop their violence and terrorism. In fact, that would stimulate them to do the opposite.
