What if I made an MMO that was also a dating app? You go on adventures designed for 2-5 people with extreme cooperative mechanics? You face moral dilemmas together that make sure your values are aligned? You can use it to meet new people OR play with your SO(s)? Would you play?

Any mutuals wanna goto Japan? I've been wanting to return to visit Japan for a while now, and it's open for tourism again, so want to follow through on that. The first time I went, a group of friends all went at roughly the same time, so we knew some other people there to hang out and do things with, but didn't have like a group schedule or anything. It was great. Thinking of starting a Discord server where we can arrange timing.

Are there people or companies more experienced with games / geek stuff than just dumping it all at a local ebay consignment shop? Not trying to sell anything here (but thanks). Just looking for advice.

I have many boxes of game industry stuff (game boxes, shirts, posters, books etc.) that I would love to sell or auction, ideally for charity. I have zero interest or experience in managing multiple ebay listings, haggling, or shipping…

@candacerthomas Love this! - I think this especially true for games with a sandbox element. If you can perfectly imagine all the outcomes, your players probably can too - which means it isn't complex enough to sustain interest.

Lesson 1: "If you can perfectly picture your game in your head - then it's probably not very original." This was hard for me, being a designer under the impression that I had to have crystal clear vision about all aspects of the game and how to build them. This opened my mind.

I work on a team of 4 humans. Also, this is the first time I've been under the direct leadership of a woman. I have learned so much from her. I'd love to share with you what she has taught me.
